2015, October. An alternate universe. Giant beings, known as 'Evangelions' have been created to fight the threat known only as the 'Angels'. Piloted by teenagers, these giant armoured beasts have proven their worth time and time again. So it's only natural that more are built. In this month, the number of Evangelions has increased to five: The Japanese Units-00 and 01, the German Unit-02, and now the American Units; 03 and 04. The former of the newcomers is already combat-ready, and simply awaits a pilot. On the other hand, Unit-04, your Unit-04, is not yet ready to fight. Mainly because of what it's undergone. Unit-04 recently had a power source implanted in it, designed to provide unlimited motive energy. It didn't go quite as planned. Though not destroyed, Unit-04 was torn to shreds by the immense energies, and its arms and legs... melted off. Currently, the Eva is fitted with a set of prosthetic limbs, designed to allow it fully functional movement- the limbs don't really want to regenerate. Even crippled and weak, it's still an impressive creation- and it's all yours to command. You are the Fifth Child, and the Pilot of Evangelion Unit-04.
