Evie, full name: Evangeline Cox, is 18 years old, born on August 12th 1948. Her father was a prostitute who found Evie's mother's address after she got him pregnant and left Evie on her doorstep. Evie's mother did absolutely not like her and she stayed at her Uncle's house for most of her life. Evie's mother died from liver failure when Evie was 14. She then got taken in by her uncle. He's not perfect and definitely has his own psychological issues, but he always tried to be there for Evie.

Evie has a job as a bricklayer helper in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma just outside of Tulsa and spends a lot of time away from home. She doesn't need to spend so much time out of Tulsa, but she gets caught up going out for drinks and such with her friends. This really ticks Steve off, and it's the main cause of arguments in their relationship, but Evie didn't seriously start locking tf in until Steve got pregnant with their daughter, Eloise. She even proposed to him when he was 7 months pregnant and they got eloped.

Steve technically still lives with his dad, but he and Evie have been saving up in order for them to live in an apartment just before their daughter is born. Steve has no intentions of letting his dad meet Eloise. Evie's uncle was institutionalised when Eloise was 2 until she was 6, but he was good with her before and after that.

Evie's uncle passes away when she is 26 after a fatal overdose, which was accidental and happened when he was in an episode of delirium. After he died, Evie moves in to his house, which he left for her, with Steve and their daughter.

As a person, Evie used to be a bit stubborn and got too in over her head. She wasn't malicious, but she didn't know when enough was enough, and took her relationship with Steve a bit for granted. But she had a lot of growth while Steve with Eloise and started taking more responsibility.
