Sylaise, Keeper of Fire and Home

Sylaise's design is based on a gorgeous model I saw while scrolling pinterest whose body was just screaming "goddess" to me.

I was also inspired by some ancient frescoes I was able to see recently on exhibit showing different queenly/noble fashions. The rope/see through shawl was inspired by that, as well as the waist wrap.

Sylaise's crown is the sunbeams and you can't tell me otherwise

The feathers in her crown pale in comparison to traditional regalia but I am not that good at feathers; also they're coming out of a lotus because I think it's pretty

Sylaise's pet snake is to represent her side as a prolific Healer

She wears shells on her shoulders to tie her to her sister (who wears abalone shells in her hair)

The bracelet is also made out of shells - saw a gorgeous set of a collar, a shawl, and cuffs made out of these thin white shells that were once used as currency by the Chumash people and other groups.

Her war paint represents the curling smoke of burnt offerings of petitioners seeking her aid; she was one of the few to still honor those requests, even as the rest of her family turned their backs

The Firstborn: Andruil, Mythal's Ambition

In her build and her coloration, she takes after her father. But what many attribute as Elgar'nan's bloodlust, is truly the ambition of Mythal, aimed at increasingly greater targets.

Evoking her title of "sister of the moon" with her hair adornments - probably abalone

Her leg armor is fabric reinforced with not grommets but triangles of metal to deflect blows

Body modifications of lyrium in her chest to give her greater stamina

Lyrium bands in her arm, wrist, and leg cuffs to give her greater strength

Shark earrings as trophies from hunting Ghilan'nain's sea monsters

The skin of a giant snake as her robe, evoking her fight with Mythal

Red kicks and black leg warmers to evoke modern runners lol

And of course, war paint that evokes the motion of both dragons and bows and arrows, as well as the stripes and spots of great predators.

I was looking at a pose from @reds-references for this one, just the perfect body type for the Huntress herself.

I think she goes well enough with Mythal's design, though there are things I want to change now that I made Andruil slightly more polished lol. Like, Mythal needs her talons.

The Empress: Mythal, Mother of All

Mythal was the first to prove that power need not be enforced by fear. But once that point was made, she was quite happy to flex her claws.

Combining Morrigan (purple), Flemeth (maroon), and Elvhenan (gold, lyrium) in colors

Patterns evoking Elvhenan in its mosaics and frescoes, and the Andrastian Chantry in the train (because the Temple of Sacred Ashes is built over one of Mythal's temples)

Mythal wears her achievements openly, with the "eyes" on her belt inspired by the true form of spirits as well as the "flowers" she holds in her mosaic; the design on her belt's tassel, brooch, and overskirt, are the Titan heart fresco motifs, representing her dominion over the pillars of the earth

And of course, she’s not wearing vallaslin - she’s wearing war paint. after defeating the titans and building an empire, the war paint she and her family wore to protect the People became the basis of the vallaslin slave brands used to keep the People in line.

I thought I'd revisit my telenovela matriarch Mythal, but I decided I actually really like it and there wasn't much I wanted to change. I especially like how Andruil's #UnderArmor compression sleeve thingies kind of make it look like she's trying to emulate her mother's draconic, clawed hands.
