im worried we're condensing
yall is it actually possible to end up developing an amnesia barrier after already being a system that didnt have one? bc im realizing that im starting to have difficulty remembering what our other alters end up doing. like if i was in headspace while they were doing something, i can like vaguely remember some stuff? but theres stuff that im pretty sure they've done that i completely dont remember. but i know from seeing how they're thinking when they're fronting that they remember it fine.
additionally, ive been having some difficulty remembering things I'VE done. which either means im misrecognizing what actually is me, im getting general memory issues, or the person who was fronting back then was some other alter. maybe its the general memory issues because we havent been getting enough sleep? bc for the past like week or two or so ive been getting around 3 hours per night, which i think is few enough to cause issues remembering stuff. ive realized that our personalities have actually kinda developed into actual individual people and now we actually can talk between ourselves, and recognize each other as different people, which has started happening around the same time as the memory stuff, i think. maybe the longer we've recognized that we're a system, the more our existences have conformed to match what we saw as being systemhood. maybe it was a kinda "fake it til you make it" situation where we weren't a fully fledged system before but have grown into being one due to seeing ourselves as one. i think thats a thing.
idk. if anyone has any thoughts on this lemme know bc im starting to worry that maybe this is going to start actually having negative consequences on our quality of life if we aren't maintaining our shared memories between each other.. fuck...
