hi hi beeba. i'm just curious about some things so i got 2 questions here: 1) what are your favorite non-fiction books? 2) how could you fall in love with politics? | i'd be so happy to read your answer!

a slight information about me .. I have reduced my fiction readings in high school. If I crave for anything fictitious I’d go straight to movies, especially dreamy-cheesy-romantic-drama-comedy-thingy. :p 

unnecessary self-trivia aside, here are my favourite non-fiction books ..

1. Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely .. this is a very easy-to-read-book, it took a pretty interesting choice of research but it's very well-written, and you can read it again and again without having some sort of paradigm shifts that people tend to experience after reading substantial books. The book tells us about the social-science behind every irrational decisions in the most playful way. You'd love it. 

 2. Atheist Manifesto by Michael Onfray .. Theology is my mistress, the more controversially ridiculous it gets the happier I become. Religions made my life zingier. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend you reading this before having a good stance on your own faith. Many activists/writers converted due to this book. so read with cautions :) 

3. Social Intelligence by Daniel Goldman .. he he this is my ultimate guideline before I socialize. I have terrible social skills and my socially adept friends found it amusing that I read this book cover to cover. This book helped me to understand other people without the need of emotional bond (practical, that’s the way I like it ;p) 

4. Beyond the Pleasure by Sigmund Freud .. It’s not a book, it’s more of a research text but a long one and I kinda sorta haven’t finished it, but it’s pretty good. And if I had to sum this essay in one word that would be sex.Again, you must read with cautions. I used to think that psychoanalysis is a form of pseudo-psychology (because I am more of a behavioral-psychology girl, I am Carl Jung’s babe, and a believer in anthropological science) but Freud made me experience psychoanalysis in a personal level and it was fun. So, again if you ever wanted to read this .. get your guards on because Freud is definitely something else even though he was always drunk while he did most of his stuff. :) 

 5. another easy-reading material, because I am a huge fan of easy readings. yay. :) Paraphrasing from M.F.K Fisher " I am hungry. But there is more than that. It seems to me that our three basic needs, for food and security and love, are so mixed and mingled and entwined that we cannot straightly think of one without the other"

and my answer for the second question : 

Before I danced with politics and fell madly in love with him (yes, I always imagine politics as a guy, it’s a man-world they said :p) .. I had my waltz with history, a long intimate waltz with history and I thought for once history and I were made for each others. As time went by, I started to look deeper into the cause and tried to find the core behind every historical actions. By then, I knew that history and I shall end our waltz together. History bowed with respect as politics approached me gently offering me his hand, and my oh my he’s feisty. I haven’t let him go ever since. :) 

p.s: history and I are still best-friends. Glaring into each other eyes once in a while, reminiscing what a wonderful dance we had together.

I was talking to my mom's cousin who plans Disney trips and he made us an schedule for universal that includes Marvel island and then WWoHP too. Like I might die on my birthday. This is too much. And I've started to get money for my birthday and I am going to spend it all there. Omg
