Pretzels, deli meats, and digestif from a weirdly intense German restaurant in Yurakucho. They have a fairly extensive menu, but you are not allowed to have it at your table. They’ll let you review it for a bit, but will come back every 85 seconds, looking extremely anxious and asking in increasingly high pitched voices if you’re perhaps ready to order yet, please? And ready is a thing that takes some time when you’re trying to distinguish between a dozen different types of sausage, the names of which are all written in katakana. Since we weren’t allowed to think about what we wanted to eat for more than a minute and a half at a time, we eventually gave up on a proper dinner and stopped at a conbini on the way home. Nice pretzels, though.
