Infiltration Event: How to Participate
Alrighty folks, it’s finally time! This is going to be a fairly long post, so please bear with me!
The Basic Information
Each day, I will make a post with a picture of the room the teams will be entering, along with a written description of the room to help you all get a good grasp on where you are and what you’re up against. From there, it is up to you and your team members to figure out how best to get through the room and into the next without getting caught or rousing suspicion.
Once you are ready to take your action, you must send in an ask detailing what your character’s course of action is. Now, here’s where that sort of thing can vary!
◎ Remember that all muns have ONE attack they can use on a single enemy ONCE during the event. Likewise, anons can summon ONE distraction with the same rules. Use it wisely! Attacks and distractions benefit EVERYONE in your team!
◎ Your action asks don’t have to be long or detailed. Any length and description will do!
◎ Teams are allowed and encouraged to plan together! If several characters in your team are acting together to accomplish something, you may either choose one person in the team to send the ask detailing the actions of everyone involved OR you may each send an individual ask that mentions the characters you are working with. Whichever is more convenient for you!
◎ Keep in mind that you are only allowed to collaborate actions with other members of your team! You may not combine actions with those on another team. Neither are you allowed to hurt or sabotage another team’s members!
◎ While you are in a team, you are by no means required to plan/work together with your teammates if that makes you uncomfortable! Solo actions are just fine as well!
◎ You will have until 12:00 AM EST each day for all of your team members to send in an ask for their actions! If no action is taken within the time frame, that character will default to attempting to sneak through the room they’re in.
◎ If two teams both lose over half of their members, the two teams can then merge the remaining members into one group! Both teams will have to agree and let me know.
◎ Each team’s runs though the rooms will be posted separately! Meaning, there will be five posts a day, each being the different teams attempts on clearing the rooms.
The Rooms
As I’ve mentioned before, there are ten (10) floors in Blixer’s tower, PLUS one room to get into the tower. This room getting into the tower will act as a tutorial of sorts, with a very low level of failure and an easy layout, as a way for you all to get a feel for how this works! As you move up in the tower, the base difficulty increases, and there will be more enemies and less items to help you. Once each member of a team submits their actions, I will calculate your odds of success and place them in a random number generator to see if you pass or fail your action check. If you pass, naturally, you succeed and move on to the next room. If you fail... well, it won’t be pretty. Once you get caught, you are down for the count! There is no escaping or re-entering!
The Enemies
Let’s reiterate some of the important things about what you guys are up against!
◎ None of these corrupted shapes can spread corruption. Only Blixer can do that, and seeing as getting to him is the end goal, he won’t be around doing that.
◎ The imps are a little bit zombie-like. They aren’t super bright or quick to attack on sight, but they get very aggressive when provoked. They’ll be the easiest to get past, but they get more dangerous in numbers!
◎ The corrupted blossoms are more dangerous than the anons by far. They’re smart, and they have a keen eye. They can communicate using simple phrases, but other than that they don’t interact much with each other. The thing with these guys is, they have a one track mind. They can only focus on one thing at a time.
◎ The imps are easily fooled by appearances. The Blossoms are not, but the blossoms can be fooled if you’re careful and convincing.
◎ Walking up and touching any of the enemies is ill advised. Touch will undoubtedly provoke aggression in both of them, and it probably won’t end well.
◎ There is one more enemy to watch out for. One that’s more fearsome on it’s own that these other two kinds. However, this one is shrouded in mystery. All I can tell you is that attacks and distractions will be entirely fruitless against it.
Those are the basic guidelines. If anyone needs any clarification, please feel free to send a DM or an ask, and I’ll be happy to help you! Now, without further ado?
Welcome to the infiltration event! The first room will drop shortly.
Team 4: Room 3
Room 2
Your objective is to reach the top ladder leading up into the third floor. One imp lies next to the bottom ladder, sound asleep. Two more imps roam the upper level, one standing still on a platform while the other patrols back and forth on a folding bridge. On the walkway, there is a lever that controls the bridge’s folding mechanism. Near your starting position, there appears to be a two drums filled to the brim with oil, as well as a pile of tools containing a hammer, wrench, and a paintbrush. The area is quite dark.
Deliberate among yourselves and send in your course of action when ready.
Room 8
Your objective is to get through the large double doors at the top of the room. Teams 1, 2 & 3 will start out on the left side, while teams 4 & 5 will start out on the right side. A rope on either side leads up the the center platform, and on the platform stands a hoard of enemies. Five blossoms and two imps stand guard in a neat formation, with the imps nearest to the ropes on either side. The room is fully lit.
For so many guards to be in one place, they must be guarding something or someone pretty important. A hunch tells you that this might be the last chance to use any attacks or distractions...
Deliberate among yourselves and send in your course of action when ready.
