You've probably already gotten this a hundred times, but "Booster Gold" is a combination of his football nickname (Booster) and his intended codename (Goldstar). He mixed them up in his first appearance and it stuck. Yes, it's a dumb name, but that's the point. It's a dumb name because Booster's a dope who futzed up his own codename in his debut.
That’s what I’m hearing from a lot of people! It feels like I knew that - about Goldstar, anyway - but completely forgot the details while we were talking about it.
The only thing I can say in my defense is: Intentionally goofy is still goofy, though, since that’s what they actually decided to call the character. But, y’know, it ain’t any worse than “Batman.”

To that guy or lady who was asking about how to learn what the various wrestling moves are called, they could check out a subreddit called r/SCMovelibrary, which has various wrestler's movesets illustrated in GIF form. There's also a ton of videos on YouTube of, like, Top 20 (or more) moves of (whoever) that cut together footage of the various moves and label them. (I just watched Top 20 moves of Roman Reigns. No kidding, two of them were "samoan drop.")
I got no time for Reddit in my life, but I know there are sections of it that are nice and useful, so hopefully this helps!
You are aware that Bullets & Bracelets contains the first appearance of "THANOSEID," yes? That's as close as you're ever getting to Frank Castle v. Darkseid, Sims. Also it was written by John Ostrander. You don't have to like it but you better learn to love it!
Isn't Thanoseid also in Walter Simonsons' THORION OF THE NEW ASGODS?
