‘Phantom Black Hole’ posting this today because of the big announcement tomorrow morning by scientists to reveal the first images of the event horizon of a supermassive #BlackHole #EventHorizonTelescope https://www.instagram.com/p/BwC-NRan1j0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1jl15lnxqvvdw
#Repost @nasachandraxray ・・・ #News: The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) has captured the first image ever of an event horizon, the boundary between what can and cannot escape a black hole. Famed black hole hunter, @NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, also observed the black hole during #EHT's observations. Chandra's field of view is much larger than the EHT's, making for an exciting opportunity to gather even more information about the #BlackHole in the center of galaxy M87, including what was happening farther away from the event horizon during #EHT's observations. Chandra observed a jet of high-energy particles launched by the intense gravitational & magnetic fields around the black hole, extending more than 1,000 light years from the center of the galaxy! Do you have questions about this exciting new result? Visit NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory on Twitter (@chandraxray) with #EHTBlackHoleQ&A at 10:30 am Eastern #today (April 10th) for a live Question & Answer session with Dr. Joey Neilsen! Look at this
It's something, you don't wanna miss
A phenomenon so mysterious
And which makes us all so curious
It bends all laws
All of Physics laws
Where the forces which are the weakest
turn out to be the strongest
It bends light
It absorbs light
And nothing that goes through
Can ever pass through
Yet, behold
The mortals have caught it's hold
For something so mysterious to humanity
Is now out for all of us to see!

AwesomeCon Day Three! Last dress of the con! I’m getting so many compliments! Also sat in on an awesome @theorossi Q&A! Shades was my favorite character on #LukeCage so hearing him talk about his process with that character was amazing. Ending the day learning about how scientists made that black hole picture from a few weeks ago! ———- #lolitafashion #qilolita #jfashion #science #blackhole #eventhorizontelescope (at Walter E.
