It had been two long years, but he had finally come back into society. He had gotten bigger, wiser, more calmer. He decided to head to the saloon, to see if he found any familiar faces. And he found only one. He approached Everett at the bar, who was alone, and cleared his throat, albeit nervously. “Been a long time, friend.”
Everett turned, wondering if his ears deceived him. It sounded like his sweet Robin, but lacked that frenetic energy he used to exude in spades. This voice sounded older, calmer, and Everett had to admit, sexier.
He took a moment to eye the man before him, swallowing as his throat suddenly went a little dry. While Robin had been cute before, there was something deliciously sexy about him now.
"It has been a while, hasn't it, puppy?" Everett leaned in, noting how he didn't have to bend down as much to see him eye to eye. "Or have you grown out of that now?"
