primrose: favorite kind of soup?

“I can’t really say I’m the biggest fan of soup in general, however, Gran does occasionally make a beautiful pumpkin and ginger soup that I certainly appreciate so… does that count?”

allium: what’s the best thing you can cook?

“I’m not exactly the best cook in the world. I inherited my mums cookbook which is mostly just dessert recipes and lots of baking and I’ve certainly tried my hand at it, but, well… let’s just say no one’s ever really willing to taste what I’ve made. I leave that stuff to Gran and ‘Pa and, of course, the gorgeous cooks at Hogwarts.”

magnolia: favorite kind of candy?

“I’ve always been partial to red liquorice. It’s just the right amount of sweet without being overbearing, don’t you think?

ROSE: Are you currently in love with someone?

“I don’t know,” admitted Fenna. Her thoughts lingered on Ever, and then lingered some more — her stomach a mess of warmth and a bit of what was either guilt or shame ( and confusion, endless confusion, as to why this was so difficult when so many books and movies made it seem so easy ). “How do you know you’re in love, anyway? It’d be great if there was, you know, a sign or something. Like a heart-shaped light bulb that started glowing above your head. Or a tiny little round angel that told you, like cupido, something like that.” 

LOCUST: What was your favorite book as a child?

“Well, as a small kid, I adored Minoes — it’s about this cat that becomes a real human lady. Prime Dutch culture, that book. I had a period where I favoured my children’s Bible, but mostly for the illustrations; just don’t tell my mum that. She’d be so disappointed.”

FOXGLOVE: name three facts about your family?

“Again?” Fenna let out a small sigh. “They’re rich, pretty bigoted, and would mingle real well with some of these uppity purebloods if – you know – those, well, uppity purebloods weren’t so uppity about muggles. That’s really all you need to know.”
