We worked with counting blocks today. With Noah, we talked about place value, regrouping, and digits. He started coming up with bigger numbers, and when I ran out of blocks, he learned how to draw his own representations of what he wanted. He also started coming up with patterns in his digits on his own. Maddie then made up a model of a number, and Noah would write it. . I was pretty impressed! I originally only intended to work on math with Noah for a few minutes, but he ended up liking it and working on it for a lot longer. He said, “I thought it was boring at first, but it’s really fun!
