The moment Biden failed to stop the Taliban from taking over Afghanistan showed how more "Progressive" he was

So the fact that these people who praise him ignore his crimes and deny his involvement in the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and his year's worth of support for Israel (Even how could he stop it, honestly? After all this year's worth of shit, I can't believe he helped with the ceasefire, damn it better to believe it's Trump because he's so unpredictable that his choices are often contrary to what blue MAGA expects, and that says a lot)

No matter how much I despise Trump, I will admit one thing, he does not pretend to be a good person, which Biden cannot do, and like the entire party of Democrats, they play the better ones when they are even worse because of the mask they wear, because their fandom trumps the pathology that was blue MAGA after Harris lost… They literally attacked immigrants and Palestinians

The worst are people who pretend to be good, because you don't know what they hide behind their "Beautiful and attractive" mask

The truth is that the "Less Evil" wasn't Harris and Biden, it was Trump by the fact that he didn't pretend and at least you look at him and you're like: Yes, this guy is a piece of shit

With Harris and Biden you have the following: I don't like their pretense, it's easy to feel their falseness, the question is how much evil they hide under this beautiful mask, but one thing is certain, if they showed it, they could beat Trump in this aspect…

It's just that people like Harris and Biden are the worst for hiding behind a mask, because you don't know how much evil is underneath, but you sense that it's terrifying about their true identity, that it would be perfect material for a fucking horror movie

Two rules were added when he was nine years old. The second was simple; to the point. It went like this: "don't kill yourself."

"What do Ava's braids mean?" he asks under his breath.

"Recently widowed. In mourning."

He thinks about that. Amélie's hair is too short for the style, he supposes, but… "Your mother doesn't have those braids."

"No," Jaskier says with an amused look. "No she does not."

Before Geralt can ask any other questions Jaskier is leading him into what appears to be a staging room. There's a big table in the middle where unfinished dishes are being ferried back to the kitchen and dirty plates and cutlery are being collected. Ava is waiting unobtrusively by a china cabinet.

"Did she…?" Jaskier whispers.

"Piotr's orders, maybe? Are you…?"

"Just a cut."

A muscular woman comes in from the direction of the kitchen to shoo all three of them out. Jaskier and Ava jump apart, though they're not fooling anyone.

"Okay, kids," the woman says. "We have work to do. Out, out."

"Sorry, Ilvini," Jaskier says, looking appropriately chastened. He's giving her an unmistakable puppy-dog-like expression.

"Oh, child, you are a menace," Ilvini says with a laugh and a ruffle of his hair.

When Jaskier pouts further she snatches a dinner roll off a passing tray and passes it to him. He gives her his most winning smile and a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, Ilvini."

"Get out," she says, and this time he goes. Before Geralt can follow, the woman stops him. "Witcher."

"Yes, ma'am?"

"Find whoever's doing this all, won't you?"

"That's the plan."

"Quickly," she says. "...but not too quickly." She watches his reaction to make sure he understands. She must see what she's looking for because she pats his arm, says "good lad, now get out," and pushes him with an impressive amount of force for a human toward the hall.
