   And there it was ! !  ATTENTION !  Regardless of exactly what kind of attention Aizen was paying him, it was attention, and Wonderweiss was happy all the same.

   After continuing to smile at his leader for a moment, Wonderweiss tilted his head.  Slowly, he lifted a hand, and mimicked Aizen’s action -- brushing a lock of hair away from the lord’s face just as Aizen just did to him.

   His smile got wider, showing off his two teeth, and at least in that moment, he was genuinely happy.

          ❝  Aaaaaaah ! ! !  ❞    Did Aizen notice ?  Was he aware that Wonderweiss mirrored what he did in an effort to please his creator ?

   Hopefully.  The only thing better than Tousen praising Wonderweiss for being clever was Aizen doing so.

Ichigo stepped out of the cab, sliding the charge card his editor had sent him through the reader before taking the receipt and shutting the door. As the car pulled away from the curb, he followed the long lines of steel and glass up and up until his head tipped back, not sure if he was impressed or not. 

Usually, he just met with an agent. This was the first trip he’d made across the city to the main office.

Shaking off the quick flash of nerves, he started up to his floor, exiting the elevator to a sunlit view of the city that might’ve made him queasy if he’d ever been bothered by heights. But since he wasn’t, he introduced himself at the desk and was ushered into the conference room that had been set aside for his meeting with Aizen. 

The girl wasn’t impolite. She offered him coffee and tea, but he knew his arrival was trivial in her day. Not like the man he was meeting. 

Ichigo checked his watch. He was early, but that wasn’t unusual. He liked being punctual. Stepping closer to the window, he slipped his hands into his pockets to keep from fidgeting while he waited.

              Fuck it. Cero's the tea-- cero's every last fuckin' bag of that shit.

                                        Gets the fuck out of there.

             Contemplates cero'ing Aizen's tea stash and stomping on the ground enough to blame Yammy. Happy Birthday motherfucker.
