I made some we happy few themed Evrjoy art for fun.

JINGLE JINGLE SMILER FANS!!!! THIS GAME IS SUPER MOJ CODED EVEN DOWN TO THE TIME PERIOD AND COUNTRY!!! (1960s England, coincidentally exactly when the sanctuary was in use!!!!!). The game is pretty expensive ngl and idk about gameplay, I haven't played it but the story is awesome and the designs and voiceacting are sick! And AGAIN SUPER MINISTRY OF JOY CODED!!!!!!

For the first time after 3 years I did modifications on Evrjoy's hat (posting this as an archive).

While I don't like that the black splotes are bigger and more visible (they aren't supposed to be that visible) it was unfortunately necessary to provide stability for the spikes??? Well they're pieces of wood idk. I didn't wanna risk the hat breaking (it's already on its last breath unfortunately) so stability over appearance / accuracy it is :(

At the end of the day this cosplay was retired and to be remade I just couldn't wait until I remade it. I'll get to it eventually, as I always say.

I tried to draw a semi-realistic portrait of Evrjoy after a long time. I tried making them look as uncanny as possible and I think I did that. This is also a reference for when I make the bust for the ref sheet (which I still haven't done 😔) also they wear a yellow contact now, this is a new part of the design 👍👍

CURRENT TIME

Name : Evrjoy

Age : in their 20s

Evrjoy is a young advocate in their 20s who works for the ministry as a graphic designer and they also work in digital propaganda (eg advertising, animations for the brainwashing vids ect ect). They are incredibly skilled at graphic design and 3d modeling though not as good at traditional art, they are decent at digital drawing. Evrjoy was corrected in an open house when they were just 19 and the brainwashing itself lasted 3 weeks while their residency there lasted a year.

The treatment drove them to insanity and while they function like a normal person on the outside, staying with them for even a few minutes, you're quick to realize something is terribly wrong with them.

They're not a person of words and they aren't particularly good at socializing, most of the time just standing around eerily and smiling, and when not doing that, working in their office in isolation. They're also not that good with team working and prefer to work by themselves.

Their personal style takes inspiration from cyberpunk, steampunk and generally "edgy" aesthetics, blending them together. Most of their accessories are, if not made, modified by them to match their style.

Trivia!! :

They're aro ace and non-binary! They use they/them pronouns.

They took robotics for most of their school years, and while not skilled enough to work in the robotics team of the ministry, they put these skills at work in small passion projects like their accessories, and sometimes do small repairs on stuff in the ministry.

The needle glove is spring loaded and pushes the needle out when administering joy serum. They have extra sterilized sealed needles in their bag. Where do they find that many needles? The ministry provides (and Evrjoy steals some sometimes).

The gas mask is connected to a small canister in the bag that administers a constant small dose of laughing gas.

While they have no medical training in general, they know how to administer injections, due to helping a friend with medication in the past. They use that knowledge maliciously and will not hesitate to sedate anyone or administer joy serum. They have chased someone full speed down a hallway to sedate them before and they'll do it again. And they shouldn't be underestimated, they're fast.

They suffer from insomnia

They talk and laugh in their sleep

Their correction happened a bit before the smiler opened

Staff and other advocates are creeped out by Evrjoy and don't really like working with them. They're too "off" even by advocate standards.

While they were corrected in an open house, their personality and taste in stuff matches more advocates corrected by the smiler rather than the sanctuary/open houses.

Due to the really harsh correctional treatment they suffer from mild visual and auditory hallucinations, though the worsen severely the more tired they are. (also when they experience adrenaline rush or panic)

They sometimes resort to running on all fours because they think it's faster (it's true in this case). It's a habit they picked up in the open house though they're trying to break this habit.

When in uncomfortable situations they get nervous giggles and start fidgeting with their nails for softly scratching their arms.

Some advocates describe their laugh as hyena like.

Their music taste consists mostly of Moj approved pop and Edm but they also sneakily listen to non moj approved music like some industrial, rock and metal songs (they're secretly a big fan of 2000s edgy music like Paramore and fall out boy) they also absolutely LOVE industrial music and it's not that well kept of a secret. Their favorite band is muse though most of the political messages fly over their head due to conditioning. They also really like pendulum and they're moj approved so Evrjoy feels less guilty about liking them. They also like vocaloid.

They don't remember their true name and don't remember their old appearance / face. Correction has changed their appearance a bit. They also have very little memories from their old life. The only memories remaining are happy and even they are very foggy.

They have secretly kept a few photos from their old life though they scratched all faces off from those photos. A small part inside them wants to remember but the constant joy blocks it.

Since constant joy messed up their pain tolerance they have insane spice tolerance and really enjoy spicy food. They don't mind other foods though and will eat most foods.

Their piercings were done In a licensed piercer outside the ministry. The moj didn't like that.

They like playing video games and own a custom smiler themed Nintendo 3ds xl. They also have a drawing laptop that they use of 3d modeling and well, drawing.

All tech they own (phone, headphones, 3ds, laptop) are custom and moj themed.

The gear they wear on their neck is a spare gear from the smiler.

They take great care of their nails and have a whole routine + put on black sharp press ons. All focus put on the nails though. They rarely ever brush their hair (though they're a very clean person.)

The "makeup" they use is just facepaint.

They put their wasp logo on all their big projects. Otherwise they use the EVRJOY sign as portrayed on the ref sheet

Evrjoy worked for a graphic design company at this time that did signs for companies. They had just recently lost their aunt who raised them since they were 3 and with an already toxic and overworking work environment, this was their final push. Their mental health was at an all time low and, when not being at work, they laid on their couch in their dark living room and spent their day looking at the ceiling and sleeping to escape their feelings. They begged to take a leave to recover but their employers didn't care for their mental health and instead forced them to work even more hours because the company was understaffed. The depressive state and overworking resulted in burnout and the burnout resulted in them being fired from their job. That's when they reached a breaking point and, for their own safety, decided to admit themselves In a facility. When searching for the place to admit themselves, they got an email about this mysterious rehabilitation place where they'd stay and be helped without charge. Food, clothes, treatment and proper rooms were provided and their stay would last as long as needed. It sounded like a dream. That's when the nightmare began.

The open house, while appearance wise was clean and almost hotel like, the economical state of the place was awful. There was barely money for food and each patient had two pajama sets of the same cheap t-shirt shorts and socks with grips. If your legs were cold you'd get the cheapest stockings around and if your arms were cold? you had a blanket for that. The blankets, luckily, were warm. Patients were neglected and expected to wash their pajamas themselves but most were in such a horrid state after every treatment that they could barely move. The treatment was harsh and not all patients survived it. Evrjoy was one of the lucky few to somehow manage to re-integrate into society afterwards. That was a luxury.

The nurses were not corrected themselves, barely any believed in the cause and most hated their job, but the pay was great and it's impossible to leave the ministry once you join it.

Evrjoy's treatment main treatment lasted three weeks but they checked out a year later. They left the facility in a state of constant disorientation and insanity. They could not go for a few hours without joy serum otherwise the effects of the harsh treatment would take hold. Severe pain, hallucinations and struggle with moving were the main symptoms of withdrawal.

After that they stayed in a small apartment in alton, so they'd be near to the underground facility of the ministry to be helped to return to somewhat normalcy and help with the resulting symptoms of the treatment. That was successful to an extend and they can function like a normal person and have no issues with joy serum withdrawal. Their personality though is forever changed for the worst. Finally, they moved in an moj facility where the have a two room small apartment that consist of a bathroom, a bedroom and a work office. They spend most of their day there now though they also go outside like a normal person. Go Shopping, walk in the park, have fun ect. Groceries are covered by the facility though they cook for themselves.

TRIVIA:

The teeth on the mask aren't Evrjoy's teeth. They're made of clay. The metal though is the actual mouth piece and it pierces through the mask

The mouth piece has been dubbed smile machine by Evrjoy. It's two pieces of metal tied together by an adjustable elastic strap that sits at the back of the head. The metal contraption has two hooks on the ends covered by thick silicone covers to pull on the cheeks. Evrjoy's main nurse used the hooks to slice Evrjoy's face "on accident" by "forgetting" to put on the silicone covers and pulling tightly at the strap.

Evrjoy doesn't remember most of the treatment other than some of the visuals on the TV screen and when the nurse sliced their face. They will never forget the pain and feeling of their skin ripping.

The open house smelt like dust. They remember the smell vividly.

During the treatment, Evrjoy was severely underweight not only due to the small food portions but because they spent most of their day being dazed and drugged, not eating as a result.

Evrjoy's name came from something a nurse said in front of Evrjoy. When Evrjoy was strapped on a chair and freshly injected with joy serum, their senses were foggy. Evrjoy was non responsive during that state. A nurse called Evrjoy "Mr forever joy over here" and Evrjoy only picked up ever and joy from that sentence.

Due to the constant joy, Evrjoy's pain tolerance was completely messed up and the nurses would find Evrjoy with mysterious injuries that Evrjoy hadn't reported. That included bruises, cuts, scratches, bloody knuckles, sometimes sprains and even a broken pinky finger once. Evrjoy continued to use their sprained limbs and even broken finger like nothing was wrong.

Evrjoy had difficulty seeing during that time due to their eyes being constantly tired after hours infront of a crt tv.

Evrjoy found their patient file at one point and they scribbled on top of it and drew smiley faces. The doctors had to make a few copies and hide them in case the found it again.

They loved arts and crafts time.

Their parents were not active in their life and their aunt took them in when they were 3. They were raised by her and were in close contact before she died in a car crash.

They had friends before correction, then cut contact with all of them afterwards.

They had to have their face constantly bandaged because they'd scratch their mouth scars open. The staff found that by putting a paper mask on them Evrjoy would stop scratching them. The mask would get bloody quickly though so Evrjoy stuck a bunch of bandages on it.

They never talked during their treatment. Only noise they made was laughing and screaming.

The workplace at their job was insanely toxic. A constant competition of who's faster and no one had your back. The boss couldn't care less about the fact that his employees were human and would constantly overwork and underpay them. While at a terrible time, getting fired was the best thing that happened to Evrjoy In a while.
