as someone else with bipolar disorder skam was the first show that actually displayed this disorder in a realistic light ?? u have to understand that the season was from isaks point of view so of course he would be surprised when he thought his neurotypical bf displayed behaviors in a manic episode especially when he had no idea. skam did a great job of showing how people with bipolar still have emotions with validity, despite having damaging episodes or miscommunications

thank you for your message, riley! i guess that some people tend to forget that we see everything out of isak’s point of view and that a lot of it is supposed to look overwhelming because what he feels in that moment is overwhelming and much, but i never once thought it was too much or not realistic.
