VO Peeps and EWABS: East Meets West for a Favorite Pairing!
By Michelle Blenker, Staff Writer July 28th, 2013 was the date of a cataclysmic event at Peep Headquarters in Irvine, CA….the East Came West and the West came to watch the EWABS meet up with the VO PEEPS! It was a left coast extravaganza as Dan Leonard ventured West to visit his Mom and he and none other than his West Coast partner in crime George Whittam decided to “spice up” the VO Peep meetup with a East West Audio Body Shop extravaganza! The event was a SMASH amongst the many bi-coastal attendees and the there were plenty of Surprises on the night as well! The East - West foodies got their share of whatever they wanted due to the extraordinary “Jerry Fare” which included for the left coasters; Turkey Croissant Sandwiches with micro greens and avocado, Eggplant sandwiches, Sesame Honey Wings and Lemon Herb Aioli ….YOU SAID IT….YUMM! And for the East Coasters in the crowd; Italian Subs ala Gerry, Buffalo Wings and Veggie Crudités hit the spot….OH and to wash down the delicious FARE? How about those Peep Cocktails? Long Island Iced Teas for the “Right Coast” and Lemon Drop Martini’s for the “Left Coast” And that was JUST the BEGINNING! Anne got the party rolling in STYLE with a discussion with George and Dan in the SAME ROOM! They were full of great tips and tricks as usual, and then came quite a BIG SURPRISE! None other than Mr. Scott Rummell paid the Peeps a visit and Dan did an awesome job interviewing him about his early days with Dawz Butler and his rise to stardom in the VO Biz! As if this wasn’t enough of a great evening, Mr. Leonard took the time to actually build a studio during a commercial break using PVC and his WONDERFUL “Studio Suit” fabric for walls. The Peeps on site had the chance to give that baby a test ride and BOY WAS IT QUIET IN THERE!!! If you’re looking to build an in home studio, we recommend you keep the Studio Suit Booth in mind and give Dan a shout out if you need the plans to complete! A BIG shout out to Dan and George for the EWABS clickers which were really popular amongst the Peeps! Additionally, George and Dan both offered Consultation Packages to the VO Peeps Scholarship Fund which were raffled off to the on-site and ONLINE CROWD!
