Sam watched as Gabriel stood in the back garden area and stretched his wings. A week had passed and the angel continued to show up every day. Gabriel cooked, cleaned, flirted, and watched movies with Sam. Sam wanted to put as much distance between them as possible but he was drawn to him. Sam went back into the house to get work done.
“I figured if Deano was coming over that we might as well make a pie,” Gabriel appeared in the study area as he mixed the batter for the crust later that afternoon.
“Are you making it from scratch?” Sam looked up.
“Uh yeah. That’s what your mom said to do. I’m following her recipe to the letter.”
“You love my mom don’t you?”
“I do,” Gabriel’s eyes softened, “she reminds me of someone I knew a long time ago.”
“If you tell me god is a woman,” Sam cut himself off and shook his head.
“God is whatever god wants to be. But no. Her name was Frigg,” Gabriel walked back to the kitchen.
“Hold on what?” Sam jumped up and followed him, “like the Frigg?”
“What do you know about Frigg?” Gabriel eyed him.
“My doctorate in mythology and legend history,” Sam smirked.
“You said myth. When I talk I talk history and experience. I’ve been there, done that, and created the tee shirt.”
“And how are you here with me?” Sam leaned back on the counter and he watched Gabriel pour the batter into the pie pan.
“Oh I’m done waiting.”
Gabriel put the bowl down and went to Sam. He fisted his hands in his shirt and yanked him down for a kiss. Gabriel let some of his grace slip into the kiss.
Sam moaned into the kiss and wrapped his arms around Gabriel. He felt the magics stir in his chest and his lips tingled where they met Gabriel’s. Sam wasn’t sure how long they kissed but he know that his shirt was opened Gabriel was pressed against the fridge with his legs wrapped around him. Sam pulled back and let Gabriel down.
“I-I’m sorry,” Sam ran his fingers through his hair and licked his lips.
“I started it,” Gabriel grinned, “I’ve been around for a few millennia. I know a thing or five about kissing.”
“You’re something else Gabe. You make me feel things,” Sam sighed and tucked his lips, “you’re just,” he shook his head, “you’re great.”
“Thanks. You’re not so bad your self Samsquatch,” Gabriel responded as he put the crust into the oven.
“It’s been a while since I’ve dated. It’s been a while since I’ve been interested in anyone,” Sam tugged at his hair as he looked to the floor.
“I get it,” Gabriel glanced up at him, “we’ll take it slow. I told you. I’m gonna court you right.”
“You’re already doing one hell of a job,” Sam look over to the door, “Dean and Cas are here,” he buttoned his shirt and went back to his desk.
“I’m not saying that you’re not as amazing as I am Cas,” Dean pushed open the door and pockets his keys,” I’m just saying I’m more amazing.”
“I don’t care for multiple partners Dean. I think that you and I have great sexual experiences. I’m not interested in the vampire. You can play the blood games as you wish. I’m not interested. And you know sharing my blood with anyone is not something I will be doing,” Castiel followed behind him and flopped down on the couch.
“Whoa,” Gabriel looked up from his chopping, “blood play?”
“Benny is the vampire Dean screws around with,” Sam answered with a disappointed look, “I thought he’d stop since he and Cas seemed to be getting along so well.”
“Dean is never satisfied. It’s part of being a demon,” Castiel rolled his eyes and sipped from his cup.
“I’m not just any demon,” Dean let his horns out and flashed his eyes.
“Yeah okay,” Castiel let his wings out, “we can posture all damn day,” he produced his sword and spun it.
“Jeez can you two stop measuring for a minute,” Gabriel pulled the crust from the oven.
“Ooh,” Dean walked over to the kitchen, “you’re making pie.”
“Yes.”
Dean put away his horns and blinked back to green.
“I think you’ve finally won over Dean for 100%. I guess that means you’re part of the family.”
“He still has John to impress,” Dean popped a piece of left over apple into his mouth.
“Naw he’s impressed Bobby and that means more to me than anything.”
Dean looked at Sam, over to Gabriel as he cleaned the kitchen, and over to the couch where Castiel read.
Dean moseyed into Sam’s house. He looked around and found Sam perched on a one of the bar chairs and the angel playing with his hair.
“Hey,” Dean smirked.
“Thank the gods. Dean this is Gabriel.”
“Whoa hold on,” Dean’s smile dropped, “like the archangel?”
“The one and only,” Gabriel curtsied.
“When you go out little brother you go all out.”
“I was trying to summon an earth fae to help with my garden,” Sam blushed.
“Were you using one of those books that Uncle Bobby had? Because he said they weren’t that reliable until after he had a chance to translate them,” Dean looked Gabriel over carefully.
“You smell like brimstone and sugar cookies. You’re a lefter,” Gabriel gave him the same scrutiny and lets his wings out.
“I am.”
“Do you talk to my brother?”
“Not for more than entertainment. Working with Him isn’t something I do too often. I work with some of his friends.”
“Good choice,” Gabriel relaxed and grinned, “he’s been squirrelly this last decade.”
“Are we not going to address the wings in the room?” Sam threw his arms up.
“Oh sorry. So you summoned an angel. He’s one of the first angels. You could’ve done so much worse,” Dean shrugged.
“So you’re into vampires?” Gabriel grinned and grabbed a slice of cake.
“Eh. I’m into everything. I’m an equal opportunity lover. Benny is a friend with benefits. I haven’t found the one yet.”
“Are you looking?”
“Hey,” Sam sighed.
“Sorry Sammy,” they said in unison.
“What do you want from my kid brother?” Dean pulled the branch from his holster on his hip.
“Ooh old school wand.”
“Not a wand.”
“Well Lameman terms,” Gabriel grinned, “don’t worry. I’m more interested in him in the biblical sense,” he chuckled, “biblical sense.”
“I like ‘im,” Dean laughed and put it back in the holster.
“I’m going to make your brother mine just so you know.”
“That’s cool. Just don’t let me know about it in detail. And,” Dean turned to Sam, “never let me see you in those shorts again.”
“Jeez. Why did I call you?”
“Because you thought that I would have to blow this guy up. You wouldn’t but I would.”
“You’re right.”
“I like him,” Gabriel snickered and grabbed more cake.
“Now you two are best friends. Great just great. I’m going to shower and find the right spell to summon some fae to help with my garden.”
“I’ll be helping with that jolly green. No need.”
“So did you ask Amara about the black cat bone?”
“Whoa. What are you doing?” Gabriel took a sip of milk.
“Don’t worry. If I need to I’ll call your brother.”
“Luci will always come out and play.”
“So I’m free now?” Dean checked with Sam.
“Yeah. Go on. I’ll deal with the angel.”
“In the shower?” Gabriel’s eyes widened.
“Or take the angel with you.”
“No. I’ll be good.”
“You two use a condom.”
“Disease free,” Gabriel gave him a thumbs up as Dean walked out the door.
“Oh my god.”
“Don’t call my dad.”
Sam stormed down the hall to the bathroom as Dean slammed the door shut.
