Last I heard there were no reds in Miolee, and if there were I wouldn’t want to have sex with them any more than I’d want to drink out of the toilet.

You seem to be conflating reds and ex-reds, and I find it frankly disturbing that you seem to be unable to distinguish between pollution and nonpollution. Please get therapy before you hurt someone.

Watching the ex-red community (particularly @chameleonlife) is an interesting window to something like the way that Cenemi survived during the Oahkh Empire. Ingroup loyalty, valuing resources in the hands of your community over those paid to strangers, high-trust networks.

I wonder if there are survivors of that period around who are charitable enough to reds and ex-reds to compare.

I would have said of course but given all the things yearbyyear has said about caste and their preferred job I could use green words for them. If a, for example, orange doctor used to be red that doesn't make them red now. I guess it would also make sense to use orange or grey pronouns for sex workers in Miolee, blue pronouns for the Mioleen government, etc. If I were going to be talking about Miolee more than to spread anonymous rumors about their sex work I'd probably ask a Mioleen.

I understand how it’s tempting to try to round off Mioleens to familiar castes, but having spent a season there when I was younger, I can say with some confidence that it’s really not accurate. Miolee isn’t just a casteless country, it’s a country of casteless people. That makes a difference.

Am I supposed to invent a neologism for the imaginary Miolee caste? Maybe YOU have a casteless word for blues, greens, yellows, greys, oranges, purples, reds and anyred from Miolee. I know perfectly well which reds are clean now!

I’m struggling to understand the logic that would lead you to consider clean casteless people to be red. Do you think @yearbyyearrecedesbeforeus (an ex-yellow Mioleen) is yellow? What about ex-reds that had a non-red caste for a while before swapping to Miolee?

So what I'm getting is that we shouldn't integrate reds because if our grandchildren decide cleaned reds aren't clean it'll be a worse disaster than Biyan?

Please don’t try to apply fictional premises to the real world. If you find yourself thinking that Metet theology sounds reasonable, you may want to get checked for hypersensitivity.

Burning down cities is ridiculous now but if everyone thinks we need to in the future we obviously should, and it seems ridiculous to risk a pollution crisis for something that only affects a tiny proportion of the population.

Sure, if it actually becomes necessary then we can do it then. (I believe the standard procedure for cleaning former red districts is in fact fire-scouring.) But trying to pre-emptively avoid everything that might eventually be seen as a potential problem? That way lies madness.
