Cordelia did her best not to let herself get flustered around him. It wasn’t going to help anyone if she did, so she had kept herself busy organizing the room while she kept watch over him. A small part of her wished he didn’t wake up till it was time to rotate, but it couldn’t be helped. 

“You need your rest sir.” she spoke, avoiding the first part of his comment. “We managed to push the enemy back for now.”

Cordelia moved to Chrom’s side and gently laid him back down. While it might have been true that they were safe, she knew it was only temporary. But, that didn’t mean she needed to worry Chrom right away. 

“Do you need anything Lord Chrom?”

⭐️- Stargazing (For Emmeryn!)

Such a beautiful night. How could Emmeryn focus on much else when there was a peaceful view outside? It was only natural that she’d go to the atrium of the castle for a better view. The day had been long and rough, so taking a little time to watch the stars sounded incredible. She sat and watched the stars, tracing constellations with her finger. She almost missed the footsteps of her brother.

After a slight jump, she glanced over and smiled, “I haven’t been away for too long, have I?”

     Even hearing the words from Chrom, of all people, Yarne still can’t help but to feel the achingly familiar sensation of doubt winding its way around his heart.

     “I want to believe that, but...what if it’s not? What if I do my best and it’s still not enough? What if I just fail?”

noctis was-- a little wobbly as he took a few more steps, he stumbled and reached for a tree for support. he’d over done it, the estranged prince saw the group outnumbered and decided to even the odds. the use of warp over and over and over along with some elemental magic had taken it’s toll. his endurance had improved, but there were moments when he needed a break. his guard was down, a bad idea, despite not being able to warp momentarily. noctis still swung his sword, still offered his help, and ended up a mess for it. but at least it seemed they others were fine.

 “it’s not that bad,” noctis insisted, he let got of the tree, big mistake. down he went with a comical yelp.

     lips remained sealed after the other had finished. truth be told, the tactician really had not expected the conversation to take the turn it did, but he was in no real position to avoid it regardless. it wouldn’t be like him to not listen and try to help anyone, especially not if it’s chrom, he can’t allow his leader of all people to bottle things up.

     “i understand.” robin finally breaks the small silence, caramel eyes blinking and locking onto him while keeping his voice soft. “i appreciate you telling me, chrom. but don’t feel as though you’re forced to tell me anything.”
