Remember my disc-surfing sorcerer I painted earlier this year? He was my entry for last month's Brush Wars against Innsbruck. Not only took Salzburg the title home, I also made 3rd place in town, which took me kinda by surprise. It was a close one, indeed. It's freezing outside, so there's nothing better than painting miniatures. I just completed my first set of 40k figures, the Exalted Sorcerers of A Thousand Sons. Posting a “group photo“ right after this <3. . But what to do next? Maybe I should paint myself a whole army of them? . After watching some tutorials, I'm considering to add airbrush to my list of skills. *work in progress* After my pathetic painting session at the Warhammer store, I decided to give it another try. I took the risk of throwing a lot of money out of the window and looked around a bit. Since I have no idea what those things even are, I went for the figures that looked the coolest to me and got them along with quite a few colours and other needful stuff. They are called Exalted Sorcerers and I like them, because they look like evil egyptian wizards and they have nice base colours (though I took the freedom to change them a bit). I started by choosing one figure and putting it partly together, so it's easier to paint it instead of finishing the whole figure. I almost freaked out before spraying it with foundation, but I managed to not mess it up and went on with painting. It took me a few hours to get to the point in the picture, but I don't stress and am a veeeery slow person in general.
