If you care about EGWT, please read:
Hello all, I have made a post about this on my twitter (@SketchOfEGWT, if you want to see it there instead) but to “pull back the veil” a bit, I need to be upfront about my financial situation, and what funding me on Patreon, would do.
First off, it’s stable. I have a job, I have my bills paid, etc, but I work more at it, than I do on EGWT, and it does upset me. Specifically because I think anyone reading this, deserves to actually have the pages of it.
But to be clear, I have put my best foot forth, worked tirelessly, as much as I can, and at the end of the day I have to accept that I can’t keep up a weekly release schedule, with my current life.
I’m still going to keep working on EGWT, but it’s become clear to me that I can’t keep a weekly update schedule, given my current (and future) situation. So when I come off hiatus, I’ll be updating once every other week, instead of weekly.
But this is where the Patreon aspect comes in. If I had $500 a month, I would be able to. And from there, any more I get would tip the scale of “job vs EGWT” more and more towards “EGWT.”
You see, at $1,000 a month, I’d be able to guaranteed get at minimum 1 page a week, potentially more, given how little of a “regular” job I’d have to work. And in the high 1k, potentially 2k, range, I’d be basically set for life.
On top of that, I would be able to get two pages a week, if I was in the upper part of that range.
I’m being realistic about this. Realistically, I don’t expect to ever get to a $2,000 a month, range. The fanbase (whom all of you I treasure dearly), is small, and relegated to the corners of the internet. But I’m playing the long game here, and thinking of this in terms of at minimum like five years from now. I just really want to deliver EGWT to you all, as best as I can, and I’d need money to do that.
But because I currently can not, when I finish page 88, and come off of hiatus, I will be uploading one page every other week.
Hopefully by then, my Patreon will be reinstated, as when it is, I will also be offering to see the following week’s page, early, as well as giving you access to every page’s uncompressed high resolution original file, for $1 a month.
Thank you for reading this, I look forward to coming off hiatus, within the upcoming weeks.
