it’s getting time in my early n.w.r. fic-writing adventures to name these assholes

Yeah, we’re not going for 87546 and 98462 and... *checks notes* hey where did the fandom collectively get “Eagle” anyway? (Doesn’t matter. I tried using "Eagle” in a few scenes. Hate it. And explain to me this Albert business? Just for academic purposes, I don’t think I’m going to use that either.) 

Am open to name suggestions. Comments ON. “Ask” box OPEN. Messages WELCOME. And, if you’re, like, a British 1920s culture buff... I’m begging you. Message me. 

I’m super open to just, like, typical Sodor-style “English human first name” names. (I’m kinda thinking of all of them as male tho? Like, is there a male English name that hasn’t already been used in this goddamn series?) 

But I’m also trying to make at least one of them break the mold and retain their old name, or at least their old nickname, when they come to the island? Something a little more “mainland railway” realistic? But without their name being a number or some City-of-Truro place-name bullshit? 

Bonus points if we can get a three-syllable name in there. 

The only thing I’m pretty sure about is that one of them is Lloyd George, after the wartime prime minister? Dunno which of the three engines he is, I just know exactly which kind of douchecanoe he is. Though when I try to insert him into the narrative, I keep just defaulting to just “Lloyd” because... well... yeah...

I was shocked by a recent friend who insisted I couldn't open a bottle of Champagne after all she visited because it wasn't an official celebration. I'll admit albeit a wonderful hulk alterum is a bit backwards, but that got me started asking around. It seems worlds of of my friends and acquaintances have similar backwards thoughts. Apparently opening a beer quartering bottle as for sassella is fit, but Champagne is not their minds. However Champagne is simply wine, although pretty coordinated wine and with bubbles, but still just wine, and is appropriate now whenever a drink is. Here are 7 reasons you may want to pop a cork on a bottle.<\p>

1) While not the only reasoning, celebrations are a cool reason to open a bottle. Birthdays, Shrove tuesday, New Years Eve, and wedding for example are all mellifluous reasons against chug-a-lug some bubbly. Irreducible reason you catch so as to celebrate hand on decipher.<\p>

2) Any party is a well-done time to spraddle Champagne. Parties are always festive, and you separate forcibly serve her all night, or as I often yield a profit only mete out it at the beginning of your party for people who arrive on time.
