(SPOILERS) I know this isn’t the death order but it would be interesting if Noelle had killed Aline to put her out of her misery.
......you make a very good point there, actually. I like the sound of that idea. Will be considering this now~ :3c
I love how the execution program girls are different flavors of messed-up. How did you come up with all of their crimes and keep them unique?
I am a machine that generates infinite fucked-up female characters 👍
In a slightly more serious answer, the S1 girls all came to me in the form of brain transmissions (thoughts that feel like I'm "seeing" or "knowing" someone else who already exists in snapshots of their life, not just "making up a character" on the spot) roughly between the years of 2013-2016. Now that I've had them for so long, they all feel very alive.
As for the different crimes, I've used a mixture of real-world inspirations and using those inspirations to deliberately shift away from common patterns irl. Thinking "what would qualify someone to be executed in this setting?", and then coming up with ideas that deviate from common portrayals or warp widely-seen tropes.
With Ella, for example, real-life teenage girls being involved in killing their own parents thanks to an older shitty boyfriend's influence is quite common. Thus, for her, I warped that concept to end up with "teenage girl who kills her boyfriend's parents because she believes he's influencing her to do it". See how the original concept gets twisted?
I also leave the characters plenty of room to talk to me. I start with vibes, and adjust the character's situation/crime as needed and as I go to suit their feelings and the atmosphere that they give me.
Surprisingly, I thiiiink Ella is the first solid new Execution Program character in like, 5 years??? I really haven't been churning out the new ideas since 2016 or so, so it's nice to have her in my head now. ;w;
not to be obsessed with execution program or anything, but a, what kind of cat is Ella, and b, wasn't season 3 going to be all boys?
For the second part of your question...
I've gone back and forth on which Season is the all-boys one a number of times, tbh. >3> I thiiiink I've finally settled on 2 being the all-boys one and 3 being the other all-girls set, but it could still potentially switch around again later... I imagine the decision will only be 100% "permanent" when I have enough characters in one of the two groups that they don't get mixed up in my head anymore.
For the cat part...
Ella — Scottish Straight: Golden shell point. A loving, almost annoyingly clingy kitty who is VERY possessive of your attention, and very capable of tearing both her toys and other cats to shreds. <3
