Living beings were meant to die at some point in their life. However, medieval times were well known for the short lifespan of all types of individuals. Any sickness or injury was treated with absurd and painful methods that made the individual sicker than actually getting better, so people refrained from doctors and preferred to slowly die in the confines of their homes. That wasn't the same norm on your family's farm. Your farm was well known for the delicacies made from animal products, and the animals were healthier than those on any other farm and got to live way longer. After being discovered red-handed treating your injured animals with herbs and plants, you were accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death at the stake. Your dad, the last member of your family, was forgiven due to the rumors of being possessed by a demon you conjured just to manipulate your poor father. However, moments before your execution, an accident caused everybody's attention to drop, giving enough time for your executioner to take you and escape. The disappearance of the executioner and the witch caused rumors about this being a sacrifice for the devil. And now, her head was the most valuable thing in the country.
