The Aristocrats (Gideon + Effie)
The Autumn months were rather dull in the league. Most trainers were being delayed by the weather, or traveling back home for the upcoming holidays. And so, one blustery day in October, Gideon found himself participating in his favorite activities, relaxing in his room with a glass of wine and a good book. Sophia was asleep in her bassinet, and his other dears were doing whatever they wished about his room. Hestia and Nash were no where to be seen, and for once the house was quiet. All was well with his world.
"You know my loves, this is the way our lives should be. Practicing our abilities, enjoying books, snacking on pumpkin pastries and a fine vintage." The emperor swirled the wine in his glass and allowed a seldom seen smile work its way onto his face. He took a small sip and nibbled on the end of a pumpkin cake. He wasn't usually one for dessert wines, but he was treating himself.
About half way through his book, Gideon began to doze. His head lolled to his shoulder and he allowed his eyes to droop shut. He had the strangest dream.....something involving a young blonde girl....though he couldn't remember any of it the moment he woke up to a loud tap tap tap on his doors. He blinked rapidly and rubbed his eyes. "Hildegard my sweet, you're leaking into the room again."
The Musharna let out a little apologetic hum and drifted to his face, nuzzling against him.
The tapping continued, pulling Gideon further from his pokemon induced slumber. "Constantine, be a love and open the window for me. Air out the room a little, we wouldn't want to knock out our guest..." The man straightened his clothes and sat up a little taller in his chair. With one final adjustment to his mask, Gideon opened the door with his powers, looking proud. "Enter......"
Alice peeked in and raised a brow. "Um...someones here for you. They said they're your sister."
"Theres no way....I'm an only child. You must be looking for Hestia, she's got more siblings than I can count."
"That's what I said!" The girl cried, "But...she insists she's your sister and refuses to leave until she sees you. So could you just like....humo-Ah!"
Gideon shoved Alice aside and stormed out of his room. "When have I humored anyone?" He made his way into the main room and wrenched the door open. "Listen here you little brat. I don't know who you think you are. But Gideon Sinclair has no siblings."
