They went and gathered everyone just for some rhetoric that could’ve been said anywhere? It was almost enough to make him laugh. Added to the fact that were so proudly declaring a war against the world, he doubled over manner that was just as comic as it was painful. He was getting ahead of himself, though. It wasn’t quite in his nature to poke fun at anyone for their goals; in fact he would have been going as low as people he had criticized in the past for being so shallow. Thinking more on it made him feel kinda sick for having such a reaction in the first place, and it was the person standing next to him that really sunk in the blow, just by looking at him as he pulled himself up from being bent over in stifled laughter. Wearing a funny, abashed expression on his face, he waved his hands in front of him as if to say, “Didn’t mean it!” Though he doubted it would have amounted to much in the eyes of a stranger. He was left only the option of explaining himself if he wanted to have any self-respect after making such a fuss.
‘Look,’ he started off, before pausing upon seeing her blindfold. Maybe not the best choice of words. ‘Uh, it’s just -- the phrasing. Right, the words they chose were what got me laughing. That’s it. Though,’ he paused again, turning away slightly and looking around at everyone, Masters and Servants alike. ‘I can’t really say I would romanticize the whole, “fight the whole world” idea. It makes for a rude awakening once you figure out there’s more to it than just getting rid of the enemy at your doorstep. Maybe instead of being your enemy, he’s really your neighbor. Well, my point is, don’t let all this talk get to your head. I did once, and it was terrible once I woke up.’
