somehow Sheev returned
I love how The Abyss looks like the original concept art for Exegol!!!
I have mixed feelings on this.
Because A. What do you MEAN Exegol is right next to Rapaacc in Chiss and Friends space? Is Ungali safe?
Also B. I feel like oddly it works. Like we know Palpatine grilled Thrawn on the Unknown Regions. And Thrawn shared about the gysks-but what else? And maybe by that point Palpatine knew that this was the area surrounding Exegol.
Maybe that's why he tolerated Thrawn. Not for Anakin but for information about the space around Exegol. The weaknesses of those around, if they were to ever get too close. How to conquer them if he suceeded in this part of the galaxy.
Like oddly enough it puts this Palpatine in perspective.
I bet there's some darkness hiding the planet from navigators and Skywalkers though and it's just a particular hard part of the Chaos to navigate.
I'm not thrilled but it can work ya know.
(But also I'm so worried for Eli and Vah'nya and Un'hee and Ar'alani now)
If you are a reylo shipper, you probably thought of Ben Solo when you heard in episode 7 of The Acolyte information about Vergence (a concentration of Force energy in a certain location that has the power to create life).
✨💫✨
Exegol, the planet where we last saw Ben Solo in The Rise Of Skywalker, has a unique vergence in the Force, a transportive vergence. Exegol is also called the place of rebirth.
✨💫✨
According to this story [Star Wars: Dark Legends - "A Life Immortal"], Exegol is a unique vergence in the Force, where "the veil between life and death [is] thin."

✨💫✨
"To Exegol. To the place of rebirth."
- Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith (book)
✨💫✨
"Exegol was a dark, barren, and rocky planet with desert flats. Its dry conditions, combined with the rubbing of dust particles in its atmosphere, created enormous static discharges that appeared as lightning strikes from the planet, which made the atmosphere too dangerous to deploy deflector shields. The dead and desolate world was covered with enormous fissures that reached deep into its crust. These were excavated by Sith loyalists who were attempting to reach a transportative vergence they believed to lie beneath the surface."

✨💫✨
They were looking for a transportative vergence to get to where? The World Between Worlds? 👀 Or another place?
Could Exegol's vergence be a portal to the World Between Worlds? 👀
✨💫✨
Let us also not forget the Power of the Dyad.
"The life force of your bond…a dyad in the Force. A power like life itself. Unseen for generations."
- Palpatine
"A vergence, sometimes described as a Force nexus, a nexus, or a locus, was an unusual yet naturally occurring concentration of Force energy localized around a place, object, or person."
Source: WOOKIEEPEDIA
Like Anakin Skywalker, would the dyad in the Force also be a vergence? Could the Vergence of Exegol and also the power of the dyad have kept Ben Solo alive and transported him to World Betweem Worlds? 👀
✨💫✨
There are many ways to bring Ben Solo back!! 🦋
did the empire ever try to rebuild or capture ancient superweapons like the star forge?
Not a main use of resources, as they were investing in new ones like the Death Star and the others like the sun crusher (EU) and whatnot in the maw think tank. But that being said, there was probably a modest “relic hunting fleet” that had a board of archeologists and scholars and officers leading an expedition task force to track down leads on relics, cuz why not - worst case find some new worlds to subjugate, best case free star forge. Probably found ruins, plans and an assortment of old artifacts but nothing major
depending on when palaptine was made aware of exegol (given the sith eternal's name i believe they were something of a background power base for the sith lords - to examine and step in should the sith lineage ever be in danger of going extinct, and i head cannon zannah or congus formed it to provide a contingency should the rule of two ever fail and the sith disappear, have a sect dedicated to preserving and reintroducing the sith order), perhaps this relic fleet could've been tasked with the dangerous and haunting mission of plotting a reliable route from the empire to it
or, on a more minor scale - palpatine just looking through old journals and tomes and hearing an ubsubstantiated claim from some old force cult 5,000 years ago about immortality, or a mythical sith lord rumored to have been laid to rest on some unknown world - sending them out to sniff it out and kick up whatevers worthwhile
it'd make for a neat lil story, the imperial relic expeditionary fleet
I need answers about the sith cultists on exegol like how did they learn to build ships and did they have a cafeteria
