pencil sliding along paper, making a mark, lifting up and off to land in another spot, curving, circling, dragging out a straight line, shoddy shapes, simplistic symbolism, a scene from a dream, or just a doodle with no reason…

from magazines, newspapers, books, tumblr, twitter, facebook, photos I snap here & there... a shape, a color, a face, a scene, a line, something-anything... I see & feel & think & wonder... I want to move on from that to a new thing... I collect ideas in images... tear it out of a book, or take a picture with my camera or grab it from online & print it... punch holes in the paper & click it into the binder... a treasure trove... -vmaddesso

drawing-ish doodle a day (or so) it doesn't look like it but I worked very hard on this... started out with swirly spirals & then colored in here & there & darkened lines & then smeared my hand over the page a few times... a little mess of a thing... but still, pencil to paper & following where it goes... - vmaddesso

a drawing a day v v v but to be honest, I am trying to do a drawing a day but I may miss a day here & there & I am so busy that I end up squeezing my drawing into my day & it's more a doodle & really simply an exercise in putting pencil to paper to see what appears... so... v v v I think I'll just write: a drawing-ish doodle... v v v until it becomes something else. -vmaddesso
