Since, I’m staring this blog during 3.1 patch, I’m going to give my initial reaction to the story.

SPOLIERS!

I was not expecting Aemeath to be Rovers’ daughter!!!!

Also, playing this patch was a roller coaster ride… starting with

1) Luuk (he’s hot, and that’s an understatement). Definitely, pulling. I’m also excited for what’s coming next. He’s very daddy 🤷‍♀️. Also he’s got some connections with court of savante

2) That girl/ student (I forget her name) but who was there during the SkyArc segment - it seemed she was messing things on purpose. She was also “allegedly” going to the library with Sigrika (after the lecture at startorch). She’s super sus (I wonder if she’s the student that’s been “taken hostage” during the second half of 3.1 by the Fractsidus. In the sense, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s working with them). Her eyes remind me of christoforo.

3) Court of Savant, the whole SkyArc falling and seeing rover through the retroact rain (he was almost translucent/ just outlined, I think that’s enough proof to assume it was just an image from the past). At the time Etheric Sea didn’t envople Solaris-iii yet- so this happened 10000 years ago. But rover came before?!

4) Also, Etheric Sea (ES) covering Solaris-iii, I wasn’t expecting that (was this told before?) - which is what is stopping scientists from exploring space. Till now, my understanding was lament caused all laws of physics, save gravity, to be disrupted. Thus hindering/ even bringing back scientific progress.

One of the waveworn phenomena is ES (which is like a wormhole?) and it usually develops whenever there is a new tacet field formation. Which is why when we first meet rover he/she comes to Solaris iii through ES (since there was close to a new tacet field formation where we eventually fight crownless)

Also, i believe enemies coming from those black circular rings is also estheric sea. And rover came to sol-3 similar to that. Again, i can be wrong.

5) AND the whole Aemeath’s sacrifice/ arc was so emotional. The arc itself was excellent, amazing storytelling, lovely music, those dots connecting (the voice we hear in Honami in the radio being Aemeaths’s voice (and her saying I hope to make you proud, I hope I haven’t let you down), meeting future aemeath in the void space, the nose boop, Exoswarm aemeath doing another boop later asking rover not to be sad…). (EDIT: and the part where A is talking to R about what they think she should become when she grows up 😭)

Ohh btw, you can see the photo we took with Aemeath at the cabin where we lived with her when she was a child (also there is the radio which plays her songs/ music as an idol)

6) So exostriders are what delivered sentinels from what I assume is rover’s homeland/civilization to Sol-3 and potentially other planets. That makes things interesting. Also, what happened to the sentinel this particular exostrider was carrying? Was this the one Aemeath saw in void space? Or perhaps still inside the exostrider (I mean how else can Aemeath resonate with it?). In the sense, exostrider is a transport vehicle, right?

7) Also loving that Aleph-1, a threnodian, looks like a worm hole. I think there is more weight to the theory that A-1 is one of the (if not the) first threnodians

8) WHAT WAS ROVERS MISSION?

9) IF the homeland civilization is sending sentinels across different planets (and not just Sol-3. I think according to the notes, this particular exostrider was not meant to come to sol-3 and was transporting it elsewhere when aleph-1 noticed it, eventually leading to the battle which lead to Lahai Roi’s foundation) - does that mean there is a universe level threat the threnodians pose? Also, his the homeland civilization the same as He civilization?

Their bond is so precious 🥹

I loved how they presented Rover and Aemeath's bond, and how he's the reason she's inspired to save people.

Rover reflecting on his failure to not be able to save his daughter Aemeath - I heard people skip the Soliskin interactions. Why? They’re cute. I’d want a plushie of one or a dozen of them.
