It’s Been A Bit!

Hello! I need to get back to this blogging thing - life has been quite busy since the holidays, but all in a good way! We found out in December that we are expecting our first in September <3 Ever since then, life has been a bit of a whirlwind, and my homemaking motivation really took a nosedive in the first trimester. Even now that I’ve got more energy, I was not nearly my normal productive self - part of that was likely because, even though I was only working 3 days a week, those work days were very on my feet. However, I just had my last day of work this week - and am now a full-time homemaker and soon to be at home mom <3 Honestly I’m feeling very motivated now to get my routines back on track. I know part of that is probably nesting, but that’s fine! And I also know it will all go to shreds for a while after baby, but we should have family help for a bit, and my husband is planning to take off his full FMLA time, so that should also help a lot. The budget may be a little tighter for the next year or so, but I’m so thrilled that we have this opportunity, and I’m feeling very motivated to at least have some routines in place before little one’s arrival, and hopefully to get back to things as well as I can amid this huge life change.
