Explore spaces at Tate Modern
I worked as Assistant Producer on two rooms in the Switch House at Tate Modern, integrated into the free displays.
In the Explore Performance space five films look at five key themes in performance art, showing the different ways that artists have brought action and participation into how we experience art.
These ideas are mirrored by the interactivity in this space, using technology designed by Oscar-winning visual effects studio Framestore. The room is aware of your presence through a network of sensors and the visitor uses their body to trigger the multi-screen films.
Explore Artists’ Cities is an immersive film screening room which transports the visitor to cities around the world where contemporary artist’s live and work. A digital map is projected on the wall and moves to various locations around the world.
The spaces were positively reviewed in Creative Review as key examples of how Tate Modern is using digital technology to create new experiences for visitors.
