PAINFUL PROMPTS

     Even if she was immortal and stronger than most living things, Grell definitely wasn’t invincible. Even so, she didn’t like to think about that, and she never wanted to really show that to anyone else -- especially not to her children. It was better that they feel safe with her, no matter their age or what was going on. 

     Unfortunately, some injuries were not so easy to just wipe away and wait out. There would always be dangers, both due to what she was and the work she could occasionally get into with Adrian. Even so, she was technically more durable even than her husband and she would always do her best to take on the more dangerous aspects rather than risk losing him. Of course, now she was paying for that.

     It had been so silly, just moving too much and trying to keep up appearances and she’d opened her wound again. She hissed at the feeling, hand going to her side and pulling back what seemed to a copious amount of blood for someone that was supposed to be fine. She paused, glancing over at Ares before she straightened. “You weren’t supposed to see that.”

       “ i ... don’t have much i can offer, ” she confesses, with bright lilac gaze cast to the floor. it’s difficult to feel anything more than helpless now, before them. “ i’m sorry. but i didn’t know where else to go. ”

     She always preferred to smoke outside, and she’d never really let Ares or Axel come out with her for it -- they had been children and they didn’t need to get into the habit themselves. She was on the deck, quietly pulling out her lighter and lifting her cigarette to her lips in the cold night air. However, a familiar silhouette caught her attention, making her brows furrow as she stepped towards the railing. “Ares?”

     “As long as your brother is alive you’re gonna be one of his keepers Ares, same goes for him. You don’t have to like it, but Adrian and I are going to care about the both of you no matter what, and sometimes we need a little help from both of you.”

22. What does your character like in other people?

That’s a hard one because there’s a difference between what she likes in people that she wants to have a connection with, and what she likes in people she’s going to put to use later. However, one thing she generally likes in other people is a sense of optimism that can match her own. She also finds diligence and resourcefulness very admirable traits in another person.

     Well, that was certainly a matter of opinion, and he didn’t know the half of what she or Adrian had done -- and it might’ve been better that way too. Even so, it was a little funny to hear that from him. “I promise you, honey, there’s always someone bigger, or at least someone with a different list on them. Being the biggest sinner wouldn’t be all it was cut out to be either.”

A familiar sting I always recognize.” She was trying to blatantly with him, but sometimes there was still a struggle to do it; even so, he was a man now and he deserved to be treated as one. “You don’t speak of it, but I can hear what you say.”
