PART 1-Proof that when @moduinne-and-redjamie aka @jessleblanc1981 said her sister Nancy aka @authorejamie @nancy777ca had NEVER talked badly of Tony, Cait, Abbie, Mackenzie, that was NOT accurate.
Below is just a small sampling of the MANY instances when Nancy DID speak badly of the people in Sam and Cait’s lives (on Twitter, Tumblr, and on her now deleted weekly vlogs). She and Moduinne can justify it all they want, but when you give Tony the nickname “Waldo,” Abbie “Porridge,” and Mackenzie “McMuffin,” you dehumanize them and that facilitates people seeing them as “less than,” and it is easier to mock them. As I said yesterday my intent with this post is not to go tit for tat with anyone, but simply to post accurate info. That’s it. Nancy NO LONGER behaves this way and that’s commendable. My only issue was with her sister, Moduinne, saying she never did. I behaved badly in the past too, but the difference is I acknowledged it, and apologized for it...Nancy and Moduinne are denying it, trying to justify it, and not apologizing for it--BIG difference.
Click “Keep Reading” to see the rest of the screencaps where Nancy refers to Abbie as “porridge” since she liked to post pics of the porridge she ate, and since she and Sam were seen together at a porridge place in London; Tony as “Waldo,” since he was seen everywhere with Cait and everyone, non-shippers and shippers alike, always tried to spot him; and Mackenzie as “McMuffin.” Now you may say McMuffin isn’t negative, but that’s not the point, the point is it’s not Mackenzie’s name, again, dehumanizing her. Interestingly enough, Nancy also stated about Tony that he had “no balls,” and that he was “a doormat,” the same terms Extreme Shipper, Kim the Flutist used to describe Tony and Abbie. I only point this out because it shows how when one person starts to refer to the people in Sam and Cait’s life using derogatory words, then it becomes the norm and it is spread so that other people think it’s okay, and that then becomes toxic in the fandom.
