So Refinery29 has a Snapchat story about microblading and it is the WORST THING EVER. The technician was awful. They literally show her sitting down at the chair, setting down her purse and iPhone beside her, and then she sets up a little station. Like what? She didn't have any technique at all. She didn't do ANY NUMBING. This poor girl had to sit through the whole procedure without any numbing whatsoever! And the technician didn't pull back her skin when she did the strokes, the NEEDLE was just shoving the skin back to drag out a line. So awful. And the end result? The girl just had eyebrows that were slightly darker than before. There was no semblance of "hair like strokes"...it looked more like an eyebrow tattoo than microblading! It honestly sickens me that people who don't know anything about microblading are seeing content like this and thinking this will be the universal experience and outcome. People who would probably benefit from the procedure are seeing shit like that video and cringing, thinking, "Yeah, that looks as terrible as it sounds." I usually enjoy Refinery29's Snapchat stories, but that was absolutely terrible.

okay so this is how my brows are looking after my second microblading session! they've already scabbed, and they don't feel itchy like last time - which I'm assuming is a pretty good sign?! my only issue is that I think she brought this brow pictured a little too far forward, I'm hoping those front few hairs fade quite a lot !

Guys I got my eyebrows microbladed! Pain wise, it wasn't awful - it was definitely painful and uncomfortable, but definitely bearable! I'm very happy with my right eyebrow, I need to wait for the left brow to heal and fade before I can tell if I want more hairs adding in the front part of not. Other than that, I'm super happy! The shape is perfect, the colour looks like it will be super good once it's healed and faded! It took around two hours, including the time it took to measure and sketch my brows, and we stopped twice to double check where we needed hair and where we didn't. It was all very specific and done really well! I'm super happy and 100% would recommend!
