in “house of wax” it’s not actually me in the contraption, it’s my body double.

fan: “when you were filming house of wax and you were in that contraption, what did they put all over you, was that real wax?”

Speaking of our CNK 80Q3 plate, pull up a chair for a tale.
We were fans of SUPERNATURAL from the first season, and it didn’t take us long to decide that we wanted our very own ‘67 Impala just like Sam and Dean’s. Fast forward to May, 2007, and there I am, devouring SPN’s latest episode, “What Is And What Should Never Be”. And what do I see in the first minutes of that amazing episode? The Impala sporting Ohio license plates! I swear I sprinted to the office, hit up the Ohio BMV website, and snagged the CNK 80Q3 plate number within five minutes of seeing it on the episode.
So from May 2007 through September, 2012, we held the actual registration for Ohio plate CNK 80Q3. And let me tell you, it was a most unpleasant thing to release it, but there was no way we could keep it, as we were no longer residents of Ohio.
Anyhoo, we took the plate with us to EyeCon Orlando in 2008, where it was signed by (clockwise from the center) Jim Beaver, Sandy McCoy, Samantha Ferris, Alona Tal, Jared Padalecki, Gabriel Tigerman & Chad Lindberg.
We were lucky enough to attend the L.A. Con in 2010, and added the autos of Jensen Ackles, A.J. Buckley, Travis Wester, Misha Collins, Kurt Fuller, Mark Pelligrino, Richard Speight Jr., & Rob Benedict.
It’s a treasured item, though, sadly, the sharpie autographs are fading disturbingly fast. Oh well, nothing last forever, does it?
