Because corneal transplant outcomes rely heavily on rapid turnaround, your quick response times are essential to our success - this would not be attainable without you standing by to react with just a moment's notice. Like few other missions, LEBW's operations do not close for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even the Super Bowl - this is when we are typically working the hardest, preparing for the surgeries scheduled to take place the following day. And of course, everyone understands, donations are never halted, nor can they be predicted.
