She never thought she'd have a family. She had been married to the job for so long that she didn't realize what she was missing. Sure she had a friend, but with the amount of loss the two of them had gone through, Bryn tried so hard to keep her circle small in fear of never being able to handle more loss.

She never realized until she found out she was pregnant that she had everything she needed. A partner, two adopted sons, and their baby girl who was the apple of their eye.

She was rich in all the ways that mattered. Surrounded by so much love, had a support system that she could endlessly rely on.

She was finally home.

The Boy and His Progress

Felt like being a bit extra here, hehe. Some of you wanted progress shots of Roadkill! I'm here to deliver. 💛🌻

💛 This is the boy when he first arrived! Almost as soon as I got him, I had to open him up. 💛

💛 Since his right lashes were already gone, I went ahead and tried to remove the other set as well. When I removed the eyelids, I found most of his right eyelashes were actually pushed up into his eye...ouch! I got all of them out and went to work. 💛

💛 I assessed the damage, and went out to buy myself some sandpaper. I sanded down the warped plastic of his eyelid. 💛

💛 Using some air dry clay and paitence, I patched the little hole that had been made! I painted it uniform black, and it looked almost perfect! 💛

After that, the rest is fairly self explanatory. I did a bit of seam ripping and re-sewing for the peets, made some (temporary) eye chips, and voilá! Put the boy back together and he's good as new!

I can't tell you how happy I was to be able to at least fix up his eyelid. The faceplate will be a challenge for later down the road, which I will keep ya'll updated on! 💛🌻

Guess who's here now?!? It's Roadkill!!!

This is the boy I won from @sporksfriendlyfurbs, and we've never gotten so immediately attached to a Furby. Such a sweet boy! No batteries yet, but I will get a video before I take him apart for customizing! I have many ideas for this boy, and a pending plan to stabilize his face plate! 💛🌻

Roadkill, meet everyone! I'm sure you remember Roadkill from when I first got him! Recently he's gone through quite an ordeal in which I fixed his eyelids, replaced his little peets (thank Miku for those), painted him, and replaced his eyes!

Roadkill is far from done, but a lovely work in progress! His new brother Nug seems to really be warming up to him! 💛🌻
