THE THING I'M LOOKING FOR → LYDEZ
INEZ: If Inez has been nervous about reintroducing herself to Lydia for the first time after her accident, then there really wasn't a word to describe how she felt now. Even with everything separate that had happened family-wise over the past few days, Inez had spent every day since Halloween yelling at herself for kissing Lydia. She shouldn't have gotten tipsy, or better yet, she should've known inviting Lydia to begin with was going to backfire. She'd been so happy just at the thought of spending time with her, even if it was simply as friends, that Inez had let herself get overambitious and careless. When Lydia has asked for the two of them to meet and talk, Inez had wanted to say no. If it had been any other person, she would have. But it wasn't anyone else, it was Lydia. And Inez would still do just about anything for Lydia. It's what found her at Al's Diner for her lunch break, fiddling with her phone in her hands while she waited. Was Lydia mad at her for the kiss? Was she upset that Inez hadn't contacted her afterwards? Or - as much as Inez didn't want to get her hopes up - maybe it had sparked some kind of memory? She didn't know what, but she knew she would just have to deal with the nerves until Lydia arrived.
