Fablian: A xenic alignment to mythical/legendary creatures.

i made flags for all of the xenic alignments for this post based on this equusarian flag so they’re all a matching set!

the colors in this flag are meant to emit a feeling of wonder. the animal symbol is a jackalope, a mythical rabbit with antlers.

here's a snippet of something i started last night (that i shouldn't have started bc i have so many wips already) after the show, inspired by my sad feelings over how messed up fab's back is rn

clambering off stage after the lights had cut out for the final time that night was easier than most big shows they had done in the past. julian could feel his skin thrumming with excitement, like he was young and spry again, playing to gradually growing audiences, not a divorcee pushing 50 who could barely stand hitting those high notes anymore (god, one way trigger, what was he thinking?)

however tired he was, though, was tucked away in the back of his mind in favor of turning to admire his favorite smiley drummer, who he usually lagged behind for to give him time to shuffle down the drum pedestal steps and catch up to julian for a bit of banter before crawling their way into the usual cramped trailers festivals gave them. but this time, fab didn't look too hot. his face was scrunched a bit, and he visibly winced a time or two as he hobbled down those stairs and made his way towards julian.

julian laid his hand over the small of fab's back on instinct, rubbing his back with his thumb gently. fab glanced up at him wearily, a small smile still gracing his face despite the pain he was obviously in.

i'm so embarrassed posting this but shh shshhh we ball. yer not getting the dialogue that follows though 🤫🤫

it truly saddens me how the strokes fandom doesn’t really have a strong rpf culture because julian is going crazy with the fabulian crumbs this tour like that man is relentlessly flirting with fab every single second the band has in between songs and there’s basically no one to turn that into heartbreaking fiction on ao3 for us 💔💔💔

there used to be sooo much rpf culture from what ive seen but now everyone just wants 2 hate the band and also everyone who ive seen on twt that preaches fablian does nothing about it!!! i have old man fablian rpf i need to finish but its sweet and not heartbreaking. i neeeed more writers to hop on this freakin train man....everyone needs to write

AND DRAW EVEN MORE PEOPLE NEED TO DRAW MORE STROKES RPF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at least we have SOME recent and good fics but theres so little art!!!
