22. Favorite place you visited this year?

that’s.... hard. i went so many cool places this year, man. i ate so many free cheese samples. i played laser tag and @silly-twin-stars ruined my life.

The one thing I can think of recommending might be offering to switch rooms with her if you think you'll be able to sleep through the noise and she """can't.""" It sucks, and it isn't fair, and you would be being the FAR better person about, but it might be enough to keep your contract in tact so that you don't end up shouldering the burden of covering her rent. Like a group project where you just end up gritting your teeth and doing 65% of it while everyone else glides

I considered that, but her room charges more than mine since it’s waaaay bigger and has a nice view of the street. (I almost took that room when we moved in, then decided it was for the best I got the smaller one since it has plenty of room for a small person like me already.) if i took her room, i could... technically afford it, but it’d be a decision leaning on financially irresponsible for me. tbf I get it, like, you’re paying a ridiculous rent for a huge room to live in a ridiculous city and you can’t even enjoy it because of your neighbors, I’d be pissed too, but eh...

Maybe try to get the landlord/management to deal w/ it? I don't think police in NYC give a shit about noise complaints (and I say that as someone who used to live next to a motorcycle club). But I'm sorry, that sucks.

apparently she’s doing that next, but the super is actually moving into the building june 1 (for some reason he doesn’t live here already??? idk) and ~she doesn’t think she can wait that long~

i think she tried them but they aren’t doing much good since the tv is vibrating the walls, therefore her bed too. and tbf it was, but i think that’s just because the walls are thin not because she’s playing it at an outrageous volume
