Memories of Lewis #4. Farewell to the beautiful Isle of Lewis (bottom pic is the Scottish mainland). I’d like to thank Roddy, Elly, Kathryn, Moira, David and everyone at an Lanntair for inviting me and making me feel so welcome. In all honesty, I’ve never enjoyed attending a book festival as much as Faclan. Thanks to all the other guests for being fascinating, formidable, enlightening and insightful. Who knew that the festival’s theme of oceanic loneliness would inspire such warm and welcoming exchanges? I hope to return to the island one day.
