imo when it comes to vtubers if your kin is about the character specific lore it's fine but if your kin revolves around being a streamer and you talk about certain normal game streams where the streamers are just being themselves playing games with friends as kin content then it's like... there's definitely a line being crossed. if a streamer posts a picture of their dinner on twitter even if it's under a vtuber account that is not Your dinner. if a streamer is playing pummel party or something with their friends then that is not You playing pummel party. that's a different person. but if you see yourself in a streamer's lore and in the character that they play then that should be fine I think. but you are not the streamer themself. it's like being kin from a live action show. sure you're the character, but you aren't the actor and things done by the actor are not you, even if they're wearing the costume. just my two cents, feel free to ignore!

former vtuber (not hololive/nijisanji level tho, i was indie) who kins and like, considering that a lot of the designs/lore/etc for those guys are made before auditions even start i'd consider them kinnable! i'd treat kinning the talents *behind* the vtuber as factkin, but just kinning like... houshou marine the pirate, not marine the irl person? yeah that's fine. imo it'd be the same boat as minecraft stuff, how you can kin character!person w/out worrying, but not irl!person bc that's factkin

like no, gerard did not fight ghosts and go into the underworld to find the ghost of his brother to bring him back to life. they have had none of the experiences in the comic.
