The small little girl scrunched her nose then bit her bottom lip in concentration. Her hands twitch as she reached out then pulled her hand back. Before her eyes lit up and she reaches out to move one of the chess pieces.

"There! Beat that!" Ciel chimed, seeming very confident in the move she made. Leaning back in her seat she was humming till he made his move and her eyes widened in shock.

"Checkmate." X replied as his knight took out Ciel’s King.

Her eyes widened in shock and she quickly slams her hands on the table and got to her feet. Her eyes wide in disbelief as she spoke out loudly, “I can’t believe this! Let’s have a two out of three!”

For a second a smile almost emerged on the elder male face at the childish gesture. Though soon he nods his head as he begins to put the pieces back in their place. “Alright, but try to defend your King more next time. Without a leader most kingdoms fall apart.”

With a small huff Ciel helped with putting the pieces back in their places, “I know… But I’ll beat you next time!”

A small smile was on the elder reploid face as they finished putting the pieces in their place. Allowing the small scientist to make her move as he spoke, “We’ll see. Now your move.”

[Little!Ciel] The small girl eyes brightened with delight as she looked up at the old reploid. Before he could even react Ciel literally jumped up and wrapped her arms around him.  Giving him a loving embrace as she nuzzled the other a bit. The gesture innocent but filled with affection toward X not caring about anything else besides showing her affection.

[ Older!Ciel ] Ciel couldn’t hug a cyber elf, there was no way to display her affection by actually touching him. So she settled for an illusion as she offered a small smile. Reaching out she hugs the other even if there was no warmth or actual contact it was nice gesture. One to show that despite the years she still, and always will, care about him…

A Small Girl and a Reploid | Ciel & X

A small girl timidly peaked out from her hiding spot, glancing back at the lab unsure as to the choice she was making. It wasn't the first time she had escaped the lab and it certainly wouldn't be her last. Yet she was always fearful of accidentally being caught and scolded for leaving without permission. As if they feared she would cause some kind of trouble by going out on her own. Ciel huffed a bit at the thought and runs away from the lab, hoping to put some distance between herself and the Lab. 

"Ok... What now?" 

She escaped the prison of the lab but now she was simply wandering the fortress. Her foot steps light and quiet within the large structure taking note of how the few people around seem to glance at her. Obviously to into their work to dare steal a glance and question why such a small thing was wondering around. Suddenly an idea emerged in her head as she remembered a bit of history of this place.

I could go see X the leader of Neo Arcadia!

Suddenly the blond was bouncing on the pads of her feet before realizing she didn't even know where to look. Feeling a bit unsure now if she would be able to find the elusive Reploid. After all she had been living in this central city walls for all of her life yet never had the chance to meet him. Most of the other scientist would state that he is much to busy with reploid and human relation then to care about genetically altered human growth. Which she was pretty sure the scientist was being very bitter about but she doubted that this reploid was that bad.

"Ok, maybe he's in the meeting or throne room?"

She mumbled to herself, pretty sure it might be hard to find him else where. So she might as well try searching where she would assume the leader of Neo Arcadia would usually hang at. Hoping that he wouldn't mind a little bit of company as she scampered off to the meeting room first. Blue eyes lit with delight over the idea of meeting the Hero of Arcadia.

A low overhang of clouds banked the horizon, each one as dark and grey as the sky around it. No surprise fell onto the red warriors features as it began to rain, Not even a flinch that lead him to understand that it had begun to occur, features becoming crossed with rivulets of water as they fell down the contours of his immaculate figure.

Wrapped within his own thoughts, away from the reality that was the war between the resistance and Weil. Such willingness to dive away could be considered impressive, though it robbed him of the ability to react when another came his way, at least when no actions had been presented.

As such, he failed to comprehend that another had come along, even when said being was an old friend.

There was no other choice, she needed something much greater then what she had. It wasn’t a simple task as catching an energy being is never easy. Yet some how she had the cyberelf trapped and caged for her. His eyes stared blankly at her form as she set up the machine feeling his stares dig into her. Just another list of offense against Neo Arcadia savior.

   First stealing his identity by creating a fake to take his place, and now was using him for an experiment. Even though she knows how cruel and messed up it was with all he has done, he was all she had to help. He didn’t shout or protest or anything simply stared at her as if disappointed. Some how that made her feel worst then anger and rage at this betrayal.

   Zero will eventually realize his ‘friend’ won’t come but he will forget in time. Also to the world X was long since dead either as the copy or other wise. The cyberelf had no more purpose and would just eventually fade away to nothing. So she might as well use him for something with actual purpose. Feeling like the ex-reploid gaze was digging into her with each second.

Even when away from work she felt like he was still watching. Judging her, hating her for this betrayal but she pushed on. Even as tears formed in her eyes and she had drained the cyberelf from the last of his energy. She finally allowed her emotions to break loose and she crumbled onto her creation. Allowing the tears to fall as she knew that she was definitely the worst and no one would ever know. Yet she will and she could still feel his stares of disappointment every time she closes her eyes.

She succeeded in her creation but as what cost…?
