Skwisgaar Skwigelf

He is a lightweight like Toki, but unlike Mr. Wartooth, he is choosier with the times where he allows himself to get blackout drunk. When he does, he’s the first to get KO’ed, so then either one of the boys would have to lug him around for the rest of the night (minus Pickles probably – but hey, he’ll try!!)

He has a preference for vodka-based drinks like Absolut Vodka, and he has a soft spot for mead (makes him feel like a Viking Gods). 🍻

Having drunken folk metal dance-alongs with Toki is another one of his favourite things to do while out drinking.

William Murderface

I headcanon him attending Civil War reenactments, as well as collecting memorabilia and music from that time. So he could be in the shower and find himself whistling songs from that time period.

And there was that one time during his teenhood where his grandma dragged him to a showing of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, and he had those songs in his head for months after. So all in all, he’s not a fan of musicals, but thought that the finale to PotO was kinda metal.

His arm thing from Salacia means that he can play bass like a Beast, and can learn any song by ear as soon as the concept gets introduced to him, with no prior practice.

The ones for Charles, Pickles, Nathan, Toki, and Salacia are all under the cut:

Charles Foster Offdensen

Charles is a supreme chef--though, not that he’s ever needed to cook for himself. From as far back as when he was little, Charles has enjoyed fine dining, courtesy of the help around the house.

However, his parents did cook for him most of the time; he enjoyed his mother’s cooking more than his dad’s (we’re going by the Salacia married a human and had Charles as their half-demon kid headcanon, here). Salacia’s cooking is more cemented in his ancient Mesopotamian ways, and scrambled bread is not everyone’s cup of tea (said example of Mesopotamian scrambled bread. Yeah.)

I imagine that years down the line, when the Metalocalypse hits, there’ll come a time where it’s just Dethklok and Charles focusing on survival and evading the Half Man’s army. So, the boys will be pleasantly surprised when Charles rolls up his sleeves and serves them a Michelin-star dish from ingredients that he’s seemed to pull from thin air – not that they’re complaining, they’re just curious.

Pickles the Drummer

Pickles has these nostalgic itches for the 80s, and takes trips to vintage markets in search of relics from the first phase of his prime years.

He also somehow winds up paying for his whole family’s gifts for birthdays and Christmases, when Seth gives him a call a week or so before said occasion and not-so-subtly throws out suggestions like how lil’ Seth Jr.’s friends all have scooters and now all he can talk about is how much he wants that scooter, too [*insert Seth chuckle*].

Nathan Explosion

If the band are having a boy’s night and tearing up town, it’s an unspoken rule that Nathan is the one to drive.

Ever since almost manslaughtering Murderface, Nathan has sworn to NEVER drive while intoxicated and has additionally been ~1% more cautious while driving the band.

The only thing he has no control over (not that the guys would ever believe him), is that whenever he drives along a road that’s close to a body of water, he will be inclinedto swerve the car to the direction of the water (regardless of whether said vehicle is amphibious or- not).

Toki Wartooth

Growing up in the environment that he did, the internet is one of the many new marvels in Toki’s life. MMOs are his favourite, and as for his screen name…still thinking on that, but it’s gonna be something cute and brutal at the same time.

Although, due to his naïve & overly trusting nature, he’s liable to fall for scams and the Klokateer tech support have had to develop the most superior antivirus software for him (a software that’s Mordland-exclusive and is now widely used there – thanks Toki!)

Right, now onto the villain’s side, it’s Mr. Salacia:

APPEARANCE HEADCANON:

Salacia is TALL. If you saw him walking amongst a diverse crowd, he’d be looking down at everyone. He nerfs himself to the 7ft range.

Once he gets Dethklok’s powers confined to the five medallions on his armour, then he is as big as a mountain. Not quite Everest, but a mountain nonetheless.

As well as a buff in height, he also sprouts long-dormant wings and looks sort of like the Galaktikon II demon (seeing as the album was Brendon’s way of giving us some clues on how the finale would turn out, before it was fortunately renewed).

Lol what does a demonic Half being fear?

I’ll list 3 major ones (again, this is from my Prophecy of the Water God AU interpretation of how I thought GII would play out):

1) Sea water: it’s like an acid bath to him, but a million times more horrific.

2) Nergal, aka. the Sumerian Elder God that screwed him over and gave him this ultimatum:

It’s why – of all of Dethklok – he has it out for Nathan the most, since Nergal made him in his image (@papabigtoes did a fantastic commission for me of Nergal as he appears, in the third part of the photoset). Why? Because for Nergal, it’s the closest thing to him being the hero in the future stories & taking the limelight of how the Chosen Ones defeated the unholy Half Man, and so people will worship him again.

The above ultimatum also plays into another fear of his: Never Dying, just floating in the coldness of space, long after the sun burns out and all has ended on Earth.

3) Along with that, it’s Losing His Family. He tried to live a normal life a second time with his reincarnated wife and child, but that just wasn’t meant to be. Having lost his wife (shortly before the time Charles was set to go to college), after inadvertently getting infected by his own hand, the fear of losing Charles aka. the only family he has left, grew all the more desperate. Charles is immune to that particular sickness now, but Salacia has foreseen some not so promising visions (courtesy of the Four Horsemen) of history repeating itself in another way during the final battle.

So, as soon as Offdensen has played his part in shepherding the Chosen to him, then he’ll give him his memories back, in order to convince Charles to not take part in the war and join his cause.

ooh 13 is "layla" by derek & the dominoes! this is an ooooold favorite (probably the first time i listened to it i was 9 or 10) that i listened to a lot this year because it reminded me of house lol. THEN i found out he actually IS an eric clapton fan IN CANON and i spent a few days metaphorically going "what are we" over the fact that i sussed this out myself lmao

AAAHHH if you like amon amarth you'd LOVE turisas! their second and third albums imo are their best work, they're MINDNUMBINGLY beautiful especially in concept. i'd love to hear what you think of them!!!
