I don’t like that people put Uma on a pedestal and bash Mal just to build Uma up. Yes, they both were on the Isle and they had terrible lives but you can’t minimize what Mal went through just because Uma went through bad shit too. Their experiences are different, of course, but still. Both girls were emotionally abused by their mothers and they live their lives based off that. Uma’s been through shit. Mal’s been through shit. I hate when people say “Oh Mal the worst thing that’s ever happened to you is your boyfriend breaking up with you,” like???? Have you read the books or seen the movies???? Mal is a FAR more complex character than that. I love both my Isle girls, but I will not condone people shitting on Mal just to get some sympathy for Uma. It really burns me up.
