Everybody goes for five by five (which is wild to me because she says it iconically, NOT routinely) but there are some Faith-isms that are all but forgotten in fanworks:
“But, hey.” which should be her real catch phrase, she says it so damn much.
The big WOW/DAMN when someone surprises her.
Is that a fact? That a fact?
Oh, really? / Really? / Really, now?
Adding ‘here’ to sentences that don’t warrant it. Meaning ‘in this situation’. “You’re playin’ double odds, here, Peaches.”
‘There’ used exactly the same as ‘here’ is used. “You’re playin’ double odds, there, Peaches.” Exactly the same.
Gee (as suggested by the fabulous @wickedlehane )
That right? / Is that right?
Do I hear a threat?/That a threat?
Suggesting you’ve finally grown up because you’re throwing down. Example, “All dressed up in Big Sister’s clothes.”, “Brat’s all woman-sized.”
The severe lack of R-rated swearing. Try to remember the WB had intense censors, and it was the late 90s/early 00s. Be glad they let her say ‘screwing’. Using the big ones - fuck, shit, cunt, etc. very, very sparingly is going to make Faith’s dialogue sound more screen accurate.
Well, looky. Which is just funny coming out of her.
Her ‘yo’ is almost always in the wrong place in a sentence.
