Babylon’s Gate is the secret, higher Z move accessible by Incarnates when their Z crystal evolves for a short period of time. Babylon’s Gate summons forth the previous holders of the incarnate light and uses their powers to hit the enemy with an all out attack.
Type: Normal
Category: Special
PP: — (max. —)
Power: 200
Accuracy: 100%
Not affected by Magic Coat
Not affected by Mirror Move
Target: May affect anyone adjacent to the user.
Effect: Babylon’s Gate compares the user's Attack and Special Attack stats, dealing damage to the target using the higher stat. If the user's Attack is greater than its Special Attack, the move will be a physical move; if its Special Attack is equal to or greater than its Attack, it will remain a special move. During the execution of Babylon’s Gate, all ignorable Abilities (Abilities that could affect the success or damage of a move) are ignored.
For determining which stat is higher, stat stages are taken into account; however, it does not consider the effects of held items (such as a Choice Band) or Abilities (such as Huge Power) that do not use stat stages. If the user's Attack is higher, Babylon’s Gate becomes a physical move in all aspects: the move's damage is affected by Reflect (but not Light Screen), it will activate Counter and Shell Trap (but not Mirror Coat), and it triggers the Kee Berry (but not the Maranga Berry). Otherwise, it is treated as a special move in all of these cases.
Secondary effects of the Incarnate Z moves will apply to Babylon’s Gate, but are stronger. This means that:
Moonlit Joyous Sonata’s effect will induce Harsh Sunlight on the field.
Sorrows Rain’s effect will induce Torrential Rain on the field and Void.
Gracious Sky Crash’s effect will induce Polar Vortex on the field.
Thunderous Greed’s effect will induce badly poisoned condition.
Crawling Fear’s effect will induce the Dread condition.
Sonic Hatred’s effect will induce the confusion condition.
Love’s Sting’s effect will induce the badly burned condition.
