Two people work in two separate offices in the building of an exploitive household electronics company, but are not aware of each other’s existence. Person A randomly pushes buttons on radios, while person B listens to different channels of instructional audio everyday. They don’t understand the purposes of their work.
What actually happens is that both of them are small segments of a convoluted production pipeline, but their tasks are directly related. The buttons pushed by person A controls the audio instructions for person B to follow. Person B reports feedback on the instructions to person A.
Option 1 - Competitive: One day, they are informed that their jobs are complementary, but the only way to find out about the purposes of their work is to take over the other person’s job.
Option 2 - Cooperative: One day, they are informed that their jobs are complementary, and the only way to find out about the purposes of their work is to coordinate with each other and crack the password to the CEO’s safe that holds the secrets.
Midterm - Ray Hung
This controller is built for a game called “The Classroom” by luksy, which was one of my favorite flash game when I was young. Basically players control the character to cheat and copy answers from others during the test. Players use arrow keys to move and mouse click to do copying. To make the cheating experience more real, I build a test set–a exam book and a pen.
There is joystick embedded in the exam book which is for moving character. And there is tilt switch on the top of the pen and a photo resistor on the nib. Players have to move the pen dramatically to activate the tilt switch. And at the same time, they have to have the nib be covered, which means the pen has to be on the book closely. The LED ring was used for lighting up the paper. The brightness can force players to senses brightness instead of darkness, which is easier to achieve. However, the result didn’t work very well as expectation so I didn’t apply it at the end.

One attacker
One defender
A button is automatically and randomly moving up and down along a rope. The attacker has to hit the button when it is in a certain range, indicated by a LED strip next to the rope.
The defender can move the range up and down on the LED strip or change segments of the LED strip by other modes. The defender has to make it as difficult as possible for the attacker to hit the button when it is in the range.
The attacker gets a point when the button is pushed at the right time.
The defender gets a point when the button is pushed out of range.
