Had a thought.... It's never like. Explicitly stated that a human has to die in order for a monster to absorb their soul, right? So, hypothetically, if there was a way to keep the human body alive without the soul for a period of time you could just... Stick it back in there no harm done, Wolfwalkers style?
So if Big Finale Hyperdeath Asriel is what happens when he absorbs 7 souls (and also all the other monster ones which is interesting on its own), this is my pitch for what happens when it's just him and Chara! The color palette would probably be red, yellow, and green if I can figure out a way to make it look not terrible. I know this kind of defeats the whole point of the tragedy of the story and I do genuinely love the canon but also. I do what I want and I think this would be cool. Maybe Gaster finds a way to hold Chara's body in stasis or something so they don't have to die in order for the plan to work, idk
